I was watching a program a few years back about global warming and this is what I learned. Its not the Global warming that we all should be afraid of, it will only be about 5 years of extream heat + or - . It will be what happens after that, that I am more concerned with. An ICE AGE. The program went into detail about the ocean currents and what would happen if it became to diluted with fresh water. Basically the ocean currents would stop and then the world start to cool down very fast. I think they figured only 10 percent of the world will live through both events. Do I think it will happen in the next 94 years WHO KNOWS EXCEPT YOUR GOD or SCIENTIST. I don't think I will see it. I,m 30 now.

The last 100 years at least near the end saw lesser effects of global warming so most likely we will see more in the next 100 years.
Case in point The western antarctic shelf falling into the sea over a 1 week timetable. The top researchers that the time said it would fall into the sea in about 50 years.
Also major events have happened that causes can be link back to the effects of global warming.
1.Katrina
2.Massive flooding in the sub continent of India. Flooding that has only been seen ones in recored human history. Going all the way back to the bible and Sumerian texts.
3.Huge drought that spans the continent of Africa that has killed millions.
4. In the USA crop failure is up, and has been for sometime now.
5. Go look into the fishing industry world wide its hurting because of the ice melding and salt content falling in the seas. which kills off fish.
So yes there are events unfolding as we speak.

Aren't the Earth's natural seasons a global warming event? When it goes from winter to spring, isn't that global warming?

It's open. Scientists can dispute it all they want.
They don't want to. The data shows it's real.

"The fact that the community overwhelmingly supports the consensus is evidenced by picking up any copy of Journal of Climate or similar, any scientific program at the meetings, or simply going to talk to scientists. I challenge you, if you think there is some un-reported division, show me the hundreds of abstracts that support your view - you won't be able to. You can argue whether the consensus is correct, or what it really implies, but you can't credibly argue it doesn't exist."

Exactly what "event" are you refering to. Global warming is a process, not an event.

according to some of the Global Warming alarmists... we are IN the global warming event...
OK... average global temperatures have risin something like 7 deg over 10 years...
In the 1970's we had a similar global average temperature DROP.
The speil in the 1970's "The sky is falling we're going to have an ice age by 1990.
Didn't happen...
Then we had the "Y2K" scare... "The world will end because the computers will go nuts and launch all the nukes!"
Now we have "The sky is going to burn!"
Ever hear of the boy who cried wolf?

You're a little late. The earth has been warming since the last Ice Age.

We are witnessing it now already. Just look at the Northern Europe heat wave, and South Asian floods.

No, of course not. The temp will change naturally and start to cool off after 2010.
