They do in many countries. In America, we prefer they wait until they're grown. War is too ugly for most grown men, nobody wants it for kids.

whoever said there are no such things as stupid questions wasnt thinking. You have to be at least 17 and have a High school diploma or GED to enlist. Obviously no one would allow preteens to go to war cause they havent even been to high school yet.

It is illegal for children to serve as soldiers according to the Geneva convention.

However, Children are frequently used as soldiers in sub-Saharan Africa.

Child soldiers who survive the wars in which they fight never ever lead normal civilian lives.
