well I'm a woman and i can cook but Ive got to hold my hands up and say i think men make better chefs.....sorry ladies...

Since I worked in catering for years I only ever saw 1 woman chef the rest male as to the best cook would have to say men in a catering environment but in the home would have to say women.

It's really subjective, but I say women. Commercial cooking is the "man's world" traditionally which is why you hear more about male chefs. And I'm sure they're good cooks. However, who do you turn to when you want a traditional home-cooked meal? Mom, grandma, or your wife. Females have been doing it a lot longer, but don't get the recognition.

Women definitely have more talent in the kitchen, but men are better at cooking on the grill.

It just depends on the man or the woman. I personally have received great reviews on my cooking but my brother was an excellent cook as well. I don't try many new recipes now b/c my hubby decides he doesn't like it before I even cook it.

I personally think that either sex can be great cooks all depending if they can follow instructions, but because i am a female i would say women are better cooks.
But i have to say men are far better at BBQ's, it seems a genetic thing, men = great BBQ

Sorry but I think it all depends on the individual. My Dad was the only cook in our house because Mom just could not do it. But I am the cook here and no complants yet. There are very good male cooks and there are very good female Police,Firepersons,Racecar drivers. SOOOO It just depends on who likes to cook and who don't.

in general women but in the profesional sence men coz theres more guy chefs but i think woman handle being in the kitchen alone better and in my relationship im the better cook coz my boyfriend isent sure how to even scramble an egg its scary how little he knows lol

Hi! Gender does not matter. It is, how well do they cook. I've seen excellant and no so great cooks on both sides. Best wishes!
