Zoloft was the only medication that really helped me with my Social Anxiety and I had no side-effects on it. Although, it is important to remember that everyone responds differently to medication, Zoloft has also been highly effective for most clients that I have worked with.

Hope this helps.

Klonopin is a benzodiazepine with the longest "half-life" in its class. That means it lasts the longest and doesn't have the "rebound effect", or the need to take another one when the current dose wears off. All benzodiazepines are potentially addictive. Take as directed to reduce addiction chances. Of course only your doctor knows what medicine is appropriate for you.

You can work with a therapist.

He will help you to manage how you think about social situations.

But it is about training yourself to see all the aspects of a situation.

The problem is that you are focusing on how you feel.
Focus on the other person instead.

Then learn a little trick or game called word association and you will look brilliant. Smile and nod your head when others are talking.
