And I am saying this seriously. Im not an atheist trying to give you a hard time.

Many people(although not all) dont believe in global warming but do believe in god so I wanna know. How do you believe in him and not global warming?

-You say that through logic he exists because who else could have made this world right? But through logic, since we've been polluting the earth, its been getting hotter and hotter(mostly air pollution)
-We may or may not be able to prove that global warming exists but we may or may not be able to prove god exists either right? We dont know, we just believe or dont believe right?
-You cant really find actual proof that say here is the exact, tangible, undeniable evidence it exists. But then where is the exact, tangible, undeniable evidence god exists?

And if global warming CAN be proven, then why dont you believe in it and you do believe in god who hasnt been proven to exist. So far no religions have been proven true or false.

So if you can believe in something that hasnt been proven true but through logic you think it is then why dont you believe global warming exists?

And if global warming can be proven to exist then why do you believe in something that cant be proven to exist but dont believe in something like global warming which can(thats if it is provable).

A belief in a god is based purely on faith, and people are usually indoctrinated into their religion at a very young age. To be blunt, it's akin to brainwashing. Not always, but often.

In fact, many of the people who deny global warming are quite religious. Perhaps they prefer a faith-based theory to a scientific one because of their young indoctrination into religion.

As your question alludes to, it's not logical to deny global warming, but then again it's not logical to believe in an all powerful deity, either. At least they're consistent in being illogical.

Humans didn't start affecting the atmosphere until the late 1700s during the beginning of the first Industrial revolution in which machines were built that sent massive amounts of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide into the atmosphere for the first time. However, everything pumped into the atmosphere by man in the past 300 years has barely scratched the surface of significantly altering the atmosphere. There have been several global warmings and coolings in the history of Earth, and there has been evidence of the same on several other planets in our solar system. Since intelligent life has never existed on any other planets, the only possible way for this to have happened would be a natural cycle of the planets due to orbits, changing positions, massive sun flares, etc.

In conclusion, it is completely idiotic and egotistical to think that humans are the only or main cause of global warming.

To answer your question, Global Warming is something that can be proven false. You can KNOW that it is true or you can KNOW that it isn't true. God is a little different. Only the afterlife really proves if God is real or not. Even the most devout believer doesn't KNOW if God exists, he BELIEVES God exists.

Everyone believes that there is some sort of "higher power" out there. Even those who belive in the "Big Bang" theory believes there's a higher power, because how did the original sphere come into being in the first place? The real question comes down to what KIND of higher power do you belive in. Not a simple thought process by any means. So, as you can see, it is very easy for people to "believe" in God but not "believe" in Global Warming.

Well I believe in both. Global warming actually has been proven-it it just big industry and the people with all the money that try to make lies to disprove it. Because if the world starts going GREEN that means that these people like car companies and oil companies will lose lots of money! So of course they want you to think it is not real.
God however though there might not be physical proof, the proof is in the goodness of people and the love you feel for you family and friends. God is the life energy of life on earth and beyond-not some humanistic being in the clouds.

Global warming is nothing more than a religion within itself.
It has all the aspects of a religion.

1. Sin- having man pollute the planet
2. Redemption- cutting back on your carbon footprint
3. Profits- Al Gore claiming we're all going to die in a few decades if we don't change our ways.
4. Most importantly FAITH- These people have faith that if they change their lifestyle the world will be safe from supposedly rising temperatures which will be our ultimate demise.

Global warming... is being presented as if its a scientific fact.

Therfore it should be PROVABLE 100%. No speculation... and all predictions about it should be 100% accurate.

Thats how scientific facts work. They are immutable.

*************

Global Warming is a THEORY. There's a lot of guesswork involved. There is a lot of disagreement... because you can't prove it.

The speed of light has been proven... its a fact.
The mass of a cubic centimeter of water is 1 gram... thats a fact. It works every time.

30 years ago... the prevailing theory was GLOBAL COOLING... that "theory" was presented with all the "scientific backing" that Global warming is getting now... "The consensus of 99% of environmental scientists".....

In the middle ages... galileo was the ONLY person proclaiming that the earth was NOT the center of the universe. ALL OTHER SCIENTISTS of the time said he was wrong... Guess what... 99.999% of scientists in the middle ages were WRONG!

Consensus in science is of NO VALUE AT ALL.

Belief in something with no proof is called religion.

We have freedom of religion here, so you can believe in "global warming" or God or evolution or the Easter Bunny.

What do we care? It's your religion.

Global warming hysteria is a multi-billion dollar industry. Those who cite real science and dispute it are vilified and cut off of funding. It's all politics. Just another way to force more taxes on the uneducated masses. It's a very costly religion when you think about it.

The belief in God is a belief. That is why it is called FAITH and not called science.

Each person is free to believe and to worship in his own way or to not believe. This is the western tradition. We've separated church from state to this end.

Global Warming is a belief that is a required belief. Just like Islam when you live under the taliban. Also, this faith requires to be a state operated faith. It will be what the Catholic church was for the Holy Roman Empire.

The world has been around for several million years and you think we know all of what has gone on without a doubt and we can predict the weather with 100% accuracy?

Wrong we are right now at best 60% accurate when it comes to the weather.

Now lets talk about the belief in G-d.

That is personal choice you have to come to on your own. You have been given enough information already in the Bible to decide.
Look it up.

As you're about to find out, mixing religion into a question about global warming is like throwing red meat to the global warming deniers.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. With a very reasonable question that asked if a TV evangelist was caught sinning, would that show that there is no God.

And... here they come.

Gods are imaginary friends, normal people grow out of that about 6 or 7 years old.
A Faith is just an inner belief that we all have, one way or another.
I have Faith that in 10 years, the present Global Warming garbage will be proven wrong, just like in the 70's the predicted ice-age was wrong.
If you have the power of life, you are not imaginary and are higher than God.
