A great question. All the good answers were taken, especially that girl that wanted to see her parents again. I would only travel into the past because you don't know what to expect in the future even just a short hop of a week could be very different, and life threatening! If I could go back,and if I could make changes I would be the richest man on Earth within the first few months.If you could send an unmanned probe into the future and return with the necessary info I would take as much new technology as possible.

Assuming that this time machine would be able to bring me back, I would love to visit the year 2100 just to see what it is like, what advances man has made and how the world and it's people are getting along.

Back to the 30's, to show people what great inventions there will be in the future...like microwaves and 200 horsepower cars.
Or maybe last Superbowl where I lost a bet. Now that I know who won, It'd be nice to win my cash now. Or maybe at a racehorse show. I'd win it all!!!!!!

Take me to the future. Maybe 10 years later to see how my friends and I turn out. Also, i want to see what will happen to me when I do go to the future, will I be successful or not, etc.

I would like to go back to the 1980's when my parents were still alive. I would love to spend quality time with them. I miss both of them so much you wouldn't believe it.
