The trichotillomania is just a symptom of your anxiety; it isn't the problem itself, although it can become a problem if you disfigure yourself or cause a skin infection.

Trichotillomania is closely related to obsessive-compulsive disorders; you are trying to soothe or decrease your anxiety using repetitive motions.

This is probably not something you should attempt to treat without assistance, as treatment may include medication as well as therapy. You are worth the time and money it will take to decrease your anxiety!

This is a list of websites that may give you a better understanding of trichotillomania:

Please consider talking to a counselor, even if it's a school counselor; he/she may be aware of inexpensive or free counseling resources.

Trichotillomania
SYMPTOMS
Recurrent pulling out of one's hair resulting in noticeable hair loss.
An increasing sense of tension immediately before pulling out the hair or when attempting to resist the behavior.

Pleasure, gratification, or relief when pulling out the hair.

The disturbance is not better accounted for by another mental disorder and is not due to a general medical condition (e.g., a dermatological condition).

The disturbance causes clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning

this disorder is treated with medication and cognitive therapy... you really should get professional help. You should look around there might be some free mental health clinics around your area. If I knew what area you were in I would help you look......

Why don't you say simply "hair pulling" you need group therapy for this to see what's behind it. I'm not in a position to advise on this but, I would say, to see your doctor.
