How old are you, Kimberly? If you're a mature adult (i.e. over, say, 25) then hang in there if you like him.
If you're younger than that, he's "keeping" you around because of your age. If you can accept that he will never have a deep relationship with you, stay around, but don't look for marriage.
Some 7 month relationships are very very serious. Some are just serious toward the end... if you've been casually dating for the first few months, he may not even think of this as a long-term relationship. 43 year old men often have different outlooks on what they need in a woman. Remember that, especially if you're not a 43 year old woman.

If he says you're a keeper then he really likes you and wants to be with you. He respects you and views you as someone high on his list that he really likes. It does take love though to maintain a relationship so I would just flat out ask him. "Do you love me?" If you can't get an answer, then he just wants a relationship with benefits and no commitments. This is strictly up to you to do something now. What's to hang in there for if there is no magic between you? Good luck to you.

Sometimes action speaks louder than words.....he may or cant say I love you, but you think the actions/gestures he gives doesnt give you a slightest clue?
If you cant read between the lines, why dont you ask him where this things is leading to? There's no harm in asking rather left hanging?

He will say it, if it's true in his heart, when he's sure. What's your hurry? He's the one who should be in a hurry. If he thinks you're a keeper, then stay with him, devote yourself to him and committ to him, because that's a good sign. Hang in there, for at least 6 years.

never rush a good thing. if he's worth it hang in there. if he's not then drop him. saying i love you is a big step that nobody should force on anybody. besides 7 months is not long at all. you're trippin'

Some people will never say "I love you". But they will show it by their actions. Words sometimes don't mean much...don't put so much stock in it. See how he treats you and others around him, that would be a good sign to you whether you should stick around.
