When I play Duran Duran my birds go nuts and sing along with it. They only have done this in the past for Miles Davis.

We rescued a parakeet one time (it was flying around outdoors and starving). I never thought about it, but one day I was being silly and put in a CD by the Byrds. Lucky went nuts singing and dancing. He was very selective, though--he didn't like James Taylor or any other easy listening music, but he loved "Mean Green Mother From Outer Space" from Little Shop of Horrors, and about anything from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I have to admit, it's a little strange seeing a parakeet do the Time Warp.

My first parakeet loved KC & The Sunshine Band and The Bay City Rollers. My cockatiels prefered The Dave Matthews Band.

A couple of years ago I had another boy cockatiel and for some reason he loved n'sync. I don't know how he'd reconized them but when he heard a song, he would spread his wings, start running back & forth and wouldn't stop chirping. Seems like he was singing along. I miss him. I love my boy now but still miss my other one a lot.

All of of my birds d music. They all have varying tastes they like classical they also like nature sounds music designed for human relaxation. The one with the coyotes crying they don't like so much. My atiel also likes to ride in the car in his cage on the way to my MOM 's he likes the country music channel.

That's pretty cool, my in-law used to have a cocatiel who would say"mother take your pill" and "here kitty , kitty ,kitty" and "tiger, come over here", tiger was a cool cat! I don't like any animal I have to keep in a small cage, if it can roam the house , great, otherwise nope.
