My camera refuses to turn on after I dropped it on the concrete. Is there some way to get the pictures off the camera besides taking out the memory card and inserting it into someone else's camera, then connecting to a computer? my camera doesnt have a memory card that you can put in and take out. it comes with some memory that only holds about 7 pictures which was fine with me but i desperatley need these pictures. My computer won't sense my camera because it won't turn on so what can i do to get them. im willing to dissemble my camera and everything. its really important. Thanks

Contact the manufacturer. They may be able to remove them for you. You might also try, as has been suggested, taking the camera to a local electronics store where they may have the tools to get the camera working and pull the pics off for you.

Obviously, if the memory cannot be removed, the camera must be placed in working order to get the photos. Either a repair shop or the manufacturer is the place to start with inquiries. (Be sure to ask how much this will cost, including shipping.)

I can't beleive the number of people who did not read the whole paragraph. HER CAMERA DOESN'T HAVE A REMOVABLE MEMORY CARD. Sheesh.

Due to the internal memory of the camera, the best bet is to have the camera repaired. It will cost money, but you should be able to get your pictures off of it. You just need to make it perfectly plain to the repair technician not to alter or erase the memory card in the process of repairing the camera. You should also explain to the repair technician that it's more important to retrieve the photos then to get the camera repaired.

Good luck.

One more example of why you should always use a good neck strap or wrist strap to carry your camera. I see people carrying their cameras like a loaf of bread and shudder. In 36 years of enjoying photography I've never dropped a camera. I've replaced a few neck straps though.

Take the memory card into a photography store or Kinko's. If this does not work look into a data recovery company.

well, what you do is take out the memory card from the camera and insert the memory card into the computer. There are many slots your computer to input a memory card so be sure to find out its type and put it in. =) good luck!

I'm sure you and your pictures will reunite in the after life. But the outcome doesn't look too good for now...
