If I were a politician, I wouldn't pretend that I could control the weather or climate but then again I would be a lousy politician because too many people can't stand the truth.

If I were a politician, the first thing I would do is convince everyone that Global Warming is real and that it is caused by humanity.

That way, every time the temperature goes up, people will be conditioned to think global warming and be conscious of their actions. Every time the climate changes, people will be conditioned to think global warming and be conscious of all their activities.

I will be able to control the votes and the activities of the mass of population. Anytime there is a natural disaster, I'll use it to pass laws on the citizenry - any law, I just need to show that it will help global warming.

The people will have to beg me or other powerful people for carbon credits. I'll allow them a certain amount if they will serve me in some way. In this way, I'll re-instate the policy of human slavery.

It's wonderful to have a citizenry that can be activated automatically like the push of a button. A citizenry that is easily swayed by the changes in the weather.

And all the while I'll tell them that I am helping prevent climate catastrophe. They will look up to me like a protective older brother. That's how a POLITICIAN "prevents" global warming.

If I were a politician I would make global warming a religion. This would effectively end the gov't's ability to spend money on it. Secondly I would order the arrest and conviction of all those past and present politicians who have committed treason by voting against oil drilling in Alaska and off the coast of California. Next I would stop all subsidies of public transportation and if a peson enjoys that tyope of transportation they should be willing to pay for it. Next I would call for a free election to let the people be heard. The question on the ballot would read "do you believe in global warming?". THose who answer yes will then be taxed an additional $5,000 per year to pay for the cost to fight this ghost. Those who vote no will be given an annual tax credit of $1,000 to spend as they please (to put down on a hummer if that is what they want). Everyone is happy those who believe in global warming are paying for and not becoming hypocrites and those who do not will not have to pay for it. I might also consider genocide charges on the top environmentalist due to the 2,000 people a day kild due to the cost of fighting this hoax.

If I were a politician, I would get the government out of the whole global warming bruhaha as quickly as possible. Governement mandated solutions are never the answer and always end up creating more problems than they solve.

I'm too honest to be a politician. My question is...If liberals believe that Bush started the war to fatten his wallet with oil profits, why don't libs see Al Gore doing the same thing with man made global warming?

I know there is nothing that I could do to prevent GW, but if I wanted to remain a politician I would have to say some things to make the voters believe that I could.

If I was a politician, I would follow this advice for "global warming" - "The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." [H. L. Mencken]

Because I know people would gladly give up their freedom for security.

Unlike Ali Gore and the other hypocrites, I would refrain from wars of aggression and from using depleted uranium.
