im looking to reenlist into the army however the code i received 5 years ago prevents me too. what steps do i need to take to change my code. thanks

You didn't say why you can't re-up, and it's pretty hard to get reenlistment codes changed. I'd say that your best bet is to go and talk to a recruiter and see if there is a waiver for your particular reenlistment code.
If that doesn't work, then you might be out of luck, but the recruiter should know who to call to see about getting your code changed.

I don't think you can upgrade your RE code like the type of discharge.

Depending on what your Separation code is, you can get a waiver. You might only be able to do this through the national guard ( for prior service they have a nice option called Try One, enlist for one year ).

Once you get a better RE code form them you can join another branch
