the book of Revelation says alot, too much to mention here; more specific to your question, in 2 Thessalonians 2 we read that there will be a great falling away from the faith in the last days and the man of sin (satan) will take his seat in the churches (temple) bringing false doctrines that includes signs and wonders.

The antichrist persecutes Christians. And in Revelation, those who believe in Jesus won't take the mark of the beast or bow to it. And the beast (world religious order) will have their heads cut off.

So? The antichrist denies Jesus Christ came 2000 years ago. Denies that Jesus atoned for our sins on calvery. Denies Jesus raised from the dead. Will honor the god (ALYH) of forces (war & weapons). Disrespects women & her faith. And stands in the temple (rebuilt in Jerusalem) claiming to be good as god, Daniel. He is the abomination of desolation who stands in the temple. Making himself god.


Jonathan, The Holy Spirit dwells within every child of God baptized in the Spirit. So? The antichrist will dwell in the temple in Jerusalem claiming self godhood. And lying wonders. Not true wonders. God does true miracles through people of faith gifted by the Holy Spirit. The rapture will happen. Then the man of lawlessness rules. Because the Holy Spirit & the Church prevents the man of lawlessness. After the rapture all hell breaks loose. And the falling away will happen then, because they will deny a rapture took place. But some will believe in Jesus & they will be martyred & they are part of the 1st resurrection also. These martyred will also rule & reign with Christ. Not to forget the part Israel will play just before Jesus returnes with His Saints.

The Apocalypse is not a book of the Bible, but if you mean the Revelation, Antichrist will attempt to destroy the Church and will eventually be destroyed himself.

Actually, you should get an extra 500 points for asking a really good question. Probably the best one in the last week.

Some actually believe that the Church is not mentioned after Chapter 3 of the Book of Revelation, because they have been "raptured". Nothing could be further from the truth. They are not mentioned because they are deceived by Antichrist and not worthy to be called the "church".
Antichrist is coming not as a bad old devil killing folks; nope, the exact opposite. He is coming as he has always wanted: as Jesus Christ himself. He will act and pretend to be Christ; no more war, no more homeless, a chicken in every pot, help with those bills.
He will be teacher/preacher/savior. This is the great deception of the end times.
Scripture tells us that the mass majority will be deceived. it will be the biggest religious tent revival man has ever seen. The churches will fall all over each other to worship and serve the fake. Since the Churches never get passed teaching the same 30 year congegation the same stuff:
salvation, baptism, the ten commandments, and never get around to teaching that the Antichrist is coming FIRST before ANY gathering back to Christ occurs, that means that those who believe in the rapture will believe this first "jesus" on the scene is the true Christ who has come first to rapture them to safety. So they will be deceived.
The Church congregations know nothing because they are taught nothing: so they will be deceived. Those who profess themselves as atheists will find religion just in time to be deceived. Don't forget: Satan is supernatural and will be doing miracles and there will be no doubt that he's supernatural to anyone; so there go the unbelievers: they are now believers, except that they believe in the wrong jesus.
Tv preachers will lead hundreds of thousands of nice people to be devil worshippers. Very few will know he's not the true Christ, and they will only be those who know the gameplan. These few will be hated by everyone: the government, the churches, the people in general, everyone will hate us. We will be arrested and delivered up before him - not to be killed - nobody will believe he's Christ if he goes around killing people all day long. No, he's gonna play the part of Jesus Christ, and have love and tolerance for all; but these will be delivered up in an effort to convince and convert them to believing he is really
Christ.
In Mark 13, Christ tells us that if he hadn't shortened the time, no flesh would be saved (from deception); but for the elects sake (those who DO know he's a fake) Jesus did shorten the time from an total of a 7yr period, down to a total of a five-month period(documented in Rev. 9) We are even told that it will be during the swarming stage of the locust.
The locust swarms during a five month period (coincidence? I think not) from May thru September. Perhaps it is also coincidence that its between Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles, the two feast days that we will still celebrate in the eternity.
In short:
The Churches will be licking his boots.
The main reason that those who refuse to acknowledge him as Jesus Christ, will not be able to buy or sell without the mark is not because of any law passed necessarily, but simply because anyone who does business will NOT do business with you if you are a Jesus-Hater. People will hate us to no end.
The people will constantly be yelling and whining about the two witnesses, that they are haters of the Lord, and they want something done about it. Finally, in Jerusalem, the two witnesses are killed, with the Churches happily behind it. Thank Goodness these devils are done away with.
They will give each other gifts and have parties to celebrate it. But when those two are killed, you can set your watch, because in three days, they stand up on their feet, and the true Christ returns. And what does the real Jesus find? His spiritual bride (no gender intended) is in bed with the wrong husband. Scripture tells us that the Church folk will say to him: but we have healed and preached in your name - and he will say "get away from me, I never knew you".
Why didn't they know the real Jesus? Because the Scriptures are his WORDS, and they didn't know that Word, or else they would have known that Antichrist was to come first. No, instead, they listened to some stupid "left behind" book, or they listened to some priest or pastor - but never cared enough to listen to God. They never knew the true Christ, or else they would have known it wasn't him they were worshipping. Many will want to die rather than to face the true Jesus- not because of fear, but because of shame.
True Christians who care enough to read the Word of God, rather than the words of man or the word of a pope, etc., these will have a hard time during that five month period as far as this world goes, but they will also have divine intervention so that if anyone tries to even lay a hand on them, God will flatten them, as he says, "flat like a plain". So theres gonna be alot of persecution toward us, but its a spiritual war, a war of mind, a war of truth vs lies.
A time that the prophets wanted to be alive for.
The churches are already set up and ready to go as far as deception goes. They know nothing, they teach nothing. The ones who do teach, teach the rapture doctrine.
Those who believe the fake is the true Christ are described as "being harvested out of season".
THE TRUE CHRIST COMES SECOND.
The rider of the first white horse - that one who has a bow, but has no arrows - thats Antichrist. No arrows, because he's coming in prosperously and PEACEFULLY.
Christ is not happy with the Churches. In fact, if you want to know if you are in a Church that the true Christ DOES APPROVE OF, simply read Rev. 2 where John is given a message to each of 7 churches; out of 7, only 2 are approved by
Christ, and they both taught the exact same thing. Check it out for yourself. If you aren't in a church that taught what these two churches taught, then your church is already in trouble. The names of the approved churches are smyrna and philadelphia; Don't concentrate on the names, but rather on the CONTENT OF WHAT THEY TAUGHT. There may even be churches using those names today; so forget the names; anyway - I'll give you a clue:
I have found ONE CHURCH in 36 years that teaches what those approved churches taught. One single church. You would think that if you were a Christian, you would want to be in a Church that Christ approves of, and yet, most of the churches of today fit perfectly the description of the other five churches that Christ had lots and lots of problems with.

St. Malachi made a prophecy(which has been correct so far) that says the next pope is the one who leads us down the wrong path...(I think Benedict was too early)...

But in the bible it says something about the church being destroyed...
