Catholics, Do you pray to Mary????

Do you pray to mary as an intersessor or mediator between yourself and christ?

I do or maybe more of a used to pray to Mary when I prayed. Think it had something to do with teh woman and the mother figure. God is a bit intimidating sometimes.
