I have been sick for a long time, since i was fourteen, just after i started my period. I am eighteen and mostly recovered now, but for the first time in my ENTIRE life i am getting a for real period that isn't just spotting. For two years i didn't bleed. And now i am totally freaking out, not just about what a period implies, but also because this just makes me feel so horrible and gross and out of control and i totally can't handle this happening every twenty-eight days or what ever. It is scaring the piss out of me. I can't stand it. I feel so large and womanly. ugh.

What does a period imply? Is it because it means you're a woman and women get breasts and hips...curves, in other words. This is normal and healthy. You say you're "mostly recovered", but maybe you still have a few issues to work on. I'm sure you have a counselor and/or a support group so you should talk about how you're feeling.
Yeah, bleeding every month isn't fun, but all women deal with it, without too much trouble. You'll get used to it. Don't think about the rest of your life, just take it one period at a time!

Congratulations! That's a great sign that you're body is healthy! I hate getting my period too. I feel so icky and gross the whole week. If you really don't think you can stand it, there is a birth control pill called Seasonale that you can take. If you take it, you will only get your period 4 times a year instead of every month!
It's really awesome to hear that you are recovering. Keep it up and remember that you are beautiful whether or not you're having your period!

I never had anorexia so I can't say I know where you are coming from, but I defiantly understand being freaked about it. I can see how you feel it's gross and all, but using a tampon instead of a pad does wonders there. As far as the uckiness goes eat a banana, drink lots and lots of water, avoid caffine during that part of the month, and always have some midol in your purse for them aches when you get them. I believe that should help out some, please let me know.

This is the price of being a woman. You might want to ask about getting on a birth control pill where you only get 4 periods a year.

wow...i could say you're probable underweight...i does no longer recommend any 18 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous weighing 80 5 pounds. to be healthful you may try to get to approximately one 0 five-one hundred ten. additionally, 250 or perhaps 4 hundred energy an afternoon is far too little. i do no longer recommend something different 1200 energy an afternoon, regardless. the reason your gaining at 4 hundred energy is that your physique is used to 0-200 an afternoon. something extra will reason a weight earnings...i honostly think of you may save increasing your energy untill your approximately 1200 and get used to a classic eating time table. while you're relatively that apprehensive approximately this dietitian...get a 2nd opinion...yet you definetely could desire to benefit weight and consume extra healthful meals.

You can get birth control, it will help make the periods last less. Try taking midol(however you spell it), it will decrease the bloating and that crappy feeling we all hate. Throw on a pair of sweats and just relax. I know it's sucky. Deff, check out the BC options.

Ah, I wasn't anorexic, but I lost my appetite [from gerd] and my period for alomst a year. It is a HORRIBLE feeling that I know, and all you can do really is to bare with it, soon you will get used to it again, but it takes some time.

Try to think of it like this you are healthy again, that is why you are having your period again.

That is what my mom [who is a nurse] had to tell me.

Dont take this wrong and get your back up. But you seem like a very selfish person. Don't you realize that every women on the face of the earth goes through this??
And that its natural, you really haven't matured at all have you? This is something I would expect a 10-13 year old to be asking only without the feeling so large and womanly. Your 18, scared??? Like come on.
Get over yourself, join the rest of us and dont be such a baby!
