Let's see. A warrant issued for your arrest, a high bail set pending trial on the misdemeanor, and a new charge of failing to appear upon which you could be sentenced to additional time in jail. Not a very good idea, is it?

The judge will issue a warrant for your arrest, a couple of officers will come knocking on your door, and you will be led away in handcuffs, taken to jail, where you will sit until you either bond out or go back in front of the judge. Being taken from your home in handcuffs makes such a great show for your family and your neighborhood !!! Take the hint: call and find out what your bond is, turn yourself in, and get another court date, one you can keep !!

Assuming you are a first-time offender: Bench warrant for your arrest. They'll come to your house or your place of employment to arrest you. Stand before judge, get hefty fine and a guilty sentence for the misdemeanor.

You get issued a bench warrant. Go see the judge before you get pulled over. Most likely he/she will drop the bench warrant. If you get pulled over, they will take you to jail. And you don't want to risk going to jail over a misdemeanor.

In CA...
FTA warrant and a suspended driver's license for sure.
After you're seen on the warrant I suppose you could get probation for the contempt of court.

They put out a warrant for your arrest after adding a failure to appear charge to your case! Cheaper and easier to take care of it now!

A bench warrant (failure to appear) will be sworn for your arrest, and you may not be eligible to make bail.
