To first poster:
Illegal Immigration is the most important issue, to me. Iraq War will be another Vietnam years from now, environment isn't going anywhere (regardless of what people say), abortion is here to stay (live with it people), gun rights aren't going anywhere, Gen Y and the younger Gen X strongly support gay rights - gays are going to be able to marry in all 50 states by 2030, whether any of us like it or not. Embryonic Stem Cell research is gaining support from both lefts and a lot of rights, research is going to increase - that's just how it is.
The illegal immigration issue, which (unlike the above issues) is getting out of control not due to public support, but due to special interest, is going to hit us hard years from now. With the huge influx of cheap labor, poverty stricken, and undereducated residents, etc... pouring into this country at rates that make it impossible for the rest of the country to keep up, we are going to go through painstakingly hard times before it gets better.
I have a feeling, once things become more mechanized, illegal immigrants will mean extremely high unemployment rates and high crime in future decades - the cheap labor we hire them for today is going out of the window.

The problem is with our own Government. They don't enforce our immigration laws and, they won't. Our own President is the biggest supporter of the illegal aliens because he has/had one in his own family. His aunt lived in the US illegally, for 10 years. Now that her nephew is President, she's magically legal. It is the Government that needs to be changed and the power restored to the people. Most Americans don't like it and would end the problem now, if we could overthrow those in office that are making these mistakes. Our children are forced to accept the violent races in school, to keep from being a victim. I also agree with first answer, get our jobs back into the US.

I'd like to see any candidate come out without flinching and say they're completely against illegal immigrants coming and staying here, and they will do everything within their power to see that every last inch of the mexico/US border is completely secured. I'd like to see any one of them say they'd act to change the immigration law (or whatever it is) that says a child born of an undocumented alien is automatically a U.S. citizen. That's always seemed so BS to me, and that's why it's practically impossible to deport undocumented foreign nationals when they have babies here.

I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR A PRO-AMNESTY CANDIDATE! They are trying to destroy America and they don't listen.
According to the Rasmussen Group, "Seventy-nine percent (79%) of American adults favor a proposal requiring employers to fire workers who falsify identity documents. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 9% are opposed while 12% are not sure."
They found that 74% of Americans want renters to show proof of legal status. This is an UNBIASED poll.

IIRC, Tancredo is the only anti-illegal-immigration candidate.
And, you can rest assured that the Party only put him out there to throw some support to a frontrunner, later.

Stop Eating!!!!
Because illegal immigrants pick up most of the fruits and vegetables you eat... that's the solution.
And don't buy anything or get the services of what you are sure , (but unfortunately, always "forget"), are made by illegals.

What? Politicians will say anything to get you to vote for them and then when it comes down to it they forget what they promise and get nothing done.
