James: You, me, LavaDog and MarineForLife (and others here) have all sacrificed some for the freedom all Americans enjoy. Some of our brothers have sacririced ALL for those freedoms.
Freedom is most definitely NOT Free, even if some reap the rewards of others sacrifices. Even if some will slander us while enjoying those freedoms. No, freedom is not free and those that think it is are usually the ones that take it and our sacrifices for granted.

freedom is unfastened. what isn't completely understood isn't any united states of america that has some government are unfastened. we sacrifice a number of how human freedoms for risk-free practices of ourselves and the common solid. yet there are some international locations run by utilising authoritarian regimes that at the instant are not any unfastened what so ever. this became considered in stalin's russia, hitler's germany, and a lot of international places interior the middle east and cutting-side-day africa.

True. freedom isn't free, but the US Marine Corps will pay most of your share. Look no futher than the wall in DC and you will have some idea of the price.

True, freedom carries the most precious and expensive cost of all.
Freedom cost the blood, sweat, tears and lives of our nations patriots.
God Bless all of those who have come before me and given their lives to preserve our way of life and protect our freedom. May our brothers and sisters rest in peace.
I only wish they were still here for me to thank in person.

True, Thomas Jefferson summed it all up when he said,
"From time to time, the tree of FREEDOM, needs to be fed with the blood of PATRIOTS and scoundrels."
It's the Marine Corps job to make sure that the scoundrels are the fertilizer.

The yahoo "my name" doesnt deserve the right to cut & paste no less the RIGHT to freedom. You inherit nothing boy! The likes of your kind know nothing of sacrifice, hardships or Brotherhood. Freedom will never be Free because there will always be someone out there thinking you have too much and you should GIVE IT UP! I hope
noone ever has to depend on you for anything.....But PLEASE ENJOY YOUR INHERITANCE !!

Very true. And like every other Govt program, there is a handful of people who gladly take the handout and do not think twice about it.

This is really a philosophical question that would require and essay to fully answer.
I could make an argument for True or for False.
But the most common and simplistic answer is that the statement is True simply because of the taxes we pay and the sacrifices we make to ensure our freedom.
But a simplistic answer to support False would be that we do not directly pay for our freedom, meaning there is not a price specifically put on our freedom.
