painting outside scenes mass the shapes lightly with a neutral color, sky blue as air, shadows dark with many colors as will fit on a brush, leave some of the original mass color show thru, put in details in the shadows really fast. let dry.
than paint the sunshine on surfaces-think monet-add some yellow from the sun. thats bright colors.

Work from a grisaille. That way all your color will stay bright.

For what use? Go to a paint store and see the wide array of colors. You can bring home sample color cards.
