I served in the military as well. I am now in a wheelchair. So I know all about serving in the military.

Now, let's talk about NSPD-51 and HSPD-20 which give President Bush total control over the federal government.

He becomes dictator over this country, Tell me, to what purpose does that serve?

Also consider this--Prescott Bush was prosecuted under Trading with the enemy act in 1939 and yet he got to live here in the U.S. He never served any jail time and was never branded as a traitor against this country.

You say stay until the job is done. At what cost? Until our country is bankrupt?

Did you know that Afghanistan has the second largest oil reserves in the world?

Did you know we provided Sadaam with weaons and Donald Rumsfeld was friends with Sadaam?

This fake war on terror serves no other purpose than to further take control of the oil.

Keep that in mind when you think about the fake war on terror. Hitler used the same premise to rise to power.

For those who believe we have a two party system, you need to understand this.

We need those who believe in the constitution of the United States.

War was never DECLARED against Afghanistand or Iraq. They might have said we can go into these "conflicts" but congress never declard war for either one.

So what happened to following the constitution in regards to these "conflicts" we are in?

For those who want to say I'm a coward, keep your mouths shut. I'm in a wheelchair so I know what war is all about.

We meddle in the middle east and say they hate us because we are a free country.

They don't hate us because we are free and prosperous. They hate us because we meddle in their affairs.

I'm shocked that there is a person, let alone people who think we should be over there. I would guess marines mostly? Oh well I only saw marines pulling guard duty for the year and a half I spent over there. We got there as soon as it started and because other units were flipping out we had to fill in their spots(talking to you first cavalry). With all the time I was there ya know I couldn't figure out what we were fighting. At first I figured "yeah we are going after Saddam Hussein get 'em" and then we got him...... Crazy thing is after that a whole list of things popped up. It was never mentioned to us that we were going to turn them into a democracy, only overthrow a terrible tyrant. So I agreed with the taking him out thing, but now we are just standing people up in the middle of a fight which has been going on for thousands of years. It is foolish to think we will change the three major arabic countries that have been fighting for so long. I personally believe that we aren't fighting a war, we just stepped between the cross fire of these other countries. This would explain how we always came across such an odd variety of weapons, how we had captured people from Iraq, Iran, and Israel, if you look at it and ask yourself what's next I mean are we to assume Iraq will be America 2. It was a meaningless war and it was to provoke Americans to shout and wave their flags and vote for the guy who mentioned 911 and terrorist the most. Funny thing is for most veterans getting benefits is a struggle, I have been out since 2005, a car accident further injured my back to where I could not wear any kind of armor and so I had to file for all this issues that popped up while I was deployed. Oddly enough once I was no longer combat ready the government has been doing their best to wipe their hands of me and my problems related to those injuries i sustained. Sorry ranting....anyway ...in closing please, please don't vote for the former mayor of new york rudy guiliani, no experience, no presidency, I hope.

You're going to meet soldiers, sailors, and marines from both views. Just because a select few Ex-Army soldiers want everyone home doesn't mean all the soldiers want their brothers and sisters back home.

I agree with the notion that we're doing nothing in Iraq, but there are missions to accomplish that they've committed themselves to. You can't grab and go, it's a technical process and although it's more political than military, it's still something that's yet to be completed. Finish the jobs that were started, then talk and plan about an organized and gradual withdrawal.

I want to see those guys' DD-214 forms. Then I can tell if they were actually there. We had an instance of a "Army Ranger" making a youtube video about the war. Trouble is the guy is as phony as a 3 dollar bill. Any veteran looking at the video could tell the guy didn't even know how to wear a uniform.

I thought that getting into Iraq was a bad call myself, but once there we are obligated not to leave the people who took us at our word in the lurch. We did that in Vietnam and it was shameful.
With that said, I have a hard time believing this dude saw much action. I would like to see his DD214 myself. It just does not ring true.
I could be wrong and of course this dude has a right to his opinion but I find it hard to believe all of what he said.

Well, first let me say i only watched 1 1/2 minutes of this cowards video..We all know about freedom of speech, so i wont bother with that. This idiot has no right to speak on my behalf, or for the thousands of Soldiers he claims to represent. We must look into this individuals history, and see what motivates him to go against the OATH he volunteered for.If he disagrees with what he saw, then out of respect to other service members, he needs to SHUT HIS PIE HOLE.Non-combatants will always die in a war zone, always have and always will.He forgets this is a war, not a weekend in the desert. He has no respect for his unit, country, or fellow man.I hope selling your soul to the devil was worth it , COWARD.Take comfort in knowing that a coward dies a thousand times..I AM SPEAKING TO THE ASSHOLE IN THE VIDEO, ..Semper Fi

You're always going to find a few malcontents. Probably someone sitting theirself up to run for President in 30 years or so (just like Kerry).

Sounds to me like their personal opinions. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, no matter how wrong-headed it is.

OTOH -- I know several vets who are returning for their fourth tours, all voluntary. They believe in what we are doing over there. they just haven't been subverted by the Lieberals/ Demoncrats and put on display for propaganda purposes.

Now go away, troll.

Rarely Steve, do I follow you tube links, but this time I had planned to take a look. Don't know what happened to the link but I didn't find it. Could be all the time I've been sweating in the sun these last few days.

Most of the videos I've seen of "Iraqi War Veterans speaking out against the war" have been proven to be frauds and many of them are now facing jail time and other punishments for misportraying their service. Frankly, I'm glad. I'm tired of wannabe's going around claiming to be US Coast Guard Special Forces SEaL Force Recons that killed babies and raped their mothers.

Prescott Bush has nothing to do with the Iraq War and his crimes no more impart guilt on his son or grandson than Joseph Kennedy's support of the Nazi's imparts crime on JFK, which you should in fairness mention if you're going to imply otherwise. Many Americans prior to our WWII involvement pushed for us to enter on the German side and profited from the war in general. That's called business when your country is "neutral."

You know my thoughts on Iraq and Afghanistan. If you have any question, read my blog.

Congress has not "declared war" since WWII. They have however authorized "conflicts" in all the places we've gone. These "conflicts" are war. War is not defined as a declaration of politicians but acts by militaries.

The threat is real. The enemy is real. It is not a conspiracy to make money. Some people were able to predict the inevitability of this conflict sooner than others. Some still have their heads in the sand, pulling a Neville Chamberlain thinking that if we just appease the terrorist SOB's, they'll go away and play nice. They won't. I've quoted the enemy, our Soldiers, our politicians, Iraqi politicians, Egyptian politicians, Algerian Muslim Politicians, the US Military and US Intelligence as well as Middle East and History scholars. I've debunked your physics of falling objects conspiracy. I don't know what else to tell you Steve. The only people that want to kill you are islamist terrorists.

Not all muslims are bad people. Most are not, but there are many groups that use the name of that religion for political purposes to gain finance and power. They are most well known as AL QAEDA but include Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood. In the US, they are represented by CAIR amongst others.

And just to clarify another error in your conspiracy, Afghanistan has almost NO OIL. Iraq has the 2nd most proven reserves. Afghanistan has a smidget of natural gas.

If you are so willing to believe that a few rich Americans are willing to do such evil things to undermine your freedoms, why can you not accept that those people who readily state their hatred for us desire to kill you in order to take "the war booty" promised them in the Koran? If you can see that some extreme "Christians" are willing to do unthinkable things, why can you not accept that a more radical religion has zealots even more extreme that have already proven themselves?

Why are you so willing to believe what you already know to be the minority in American society and particularly in the American military when so many others decry their rants as well as their claims and would nail them to the cross if they thought it was a real Soldier?

But hey, Kerry says I'm unedumacated and I wouldn't want to prove him a liar.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
I covered the reasons for the war against Saddam in "Recent History of the Middle East-2" and the divergent ideologies of Ba'athism vs. Islamism (radical islam that uses the religion for financial and power gains) in "Recent History of the Middle East-1 and 2" as well as previous articles all the way back to "Regional Webs of Entanglement"

"Major Combat Operations" against Saddam's Iraq were over when so declared. I've explained why the enemy (Al-Qaeda as well as others) have placed such a high emphasis on Iraq in the "Abbasid Caliphate" and other articles. We are fighting a different enemy in Iraq now than when we went there and it is much more important. Supporting a successful democracy in Iraq (and this is far off) could be the most important aspect to the turning the tide of radical islamists and I've explained why Iran, Syria, and Al-Qaeda is so afraid of this in several articles.

No, I did not address the executive decisions signed by Bush, nor do I plan to at this juncture.

No, opposing the war and stating your support of the Constitution (in the way you do) will not get you branded a terrorist, though some might label you a "paranoid conspiratist." Hardly a crime though not exactly healthy. If you pull a Timothy McVeigh or support others that do, yes, you will be labeled a terrorist and then I would have no sympathy for you.

No, there is no basis for Al-Qaeda detainees captured in war zones to be given a trial unless we are trying to execute them for war crimes. International law allows for EPW's to be held without trial until the cessation of hostilities, without trial. They are NOT protected by our Constitution. The only trials of Germans followed WWII and was for war crimes. It wasn't to determine if they really were German soldiers and could be held as EPW's. They were held on American soil.

Personally, I think John Walker Lindh should be executed for treason. He attempted to kill Americans. He actively supported an organization that had twice (pre 9/11) declared war on the United States. He actively caused the death of Americans. I have not followed his case. I do not know his current status.

The head of Al-Qaeda's propaganda machine, As Sahab, is also an American traitor and when captured, he too should be executed, following a trial for treason, unless he chooses to resist, which I doubt his cowardly butt will do.

You may wish to check with your doctor to see if the medications you are on have side effects. I say this because I believe you are an overall good person who served your country but have fallen prey to some unscrupulous conspiratists who are using you by means of unsupported questions of allegations such as the "falling objects" question.

I do hope that they have not convinced you to give them money as is a standard MO amongst that type of radical. While they deflect attention against our own political system by allegations in the form of questions, they profit through sales and advertising as well as outright request for donations. They run a scam through innuendo.
