This is Isaiah. Yes this is true. Isaiah's prophecies came to pass. Isaiah53, for example.
Isaiah truly heard from the LORD God.This is how Isaiah described what He heard from the Lord.
Have you ever looked at the eath from space. The earth is a circle. We are tiny people on this planet. That is what the grasshoppers represent. Look at earth from an airplane & see people as tiny. God stretches the heavens like a curtain & makes a tent to rest in. This could be the ozone layer as protection from the suns rays. But this is a new thought for me.
As far as the Job verse, this is Job answering the Shuhitte, Bilbdad. Not exactly the Lord telling Job. Pillars are a 'stand' or 'platform' in original definition. When the eatth shakes, so do the stands or platforms or anything on the earth shake. This is describing an earthquake.
Also, someone put on a web site that some how disappeared http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwMfqP-nrUU .

The pillars of the earth is poetry and very good poetry.
The circle of the earth .. the word means sphere in Hebrew, bad translation.
We use this same type of speech today when we say the sunrise and sunset..
To address the second part..
what was the bible supposed to do?
Mention physics and things about the planet that were not revealed to man for 1600 years?.. they would not have know what it was talking about...
Poor attempt..
1 out of 10.

as nicely-known you have taken all scriptures out of context and have each and every scripture that has god or gods in it. in case you actual examine the scriptures and those around those you pulled you have your answer. all of us who knows of a thank you to envision english can tell what the scriptures are asserting. then you definitely ask a question to objective and throw doubt approximately Christianity with the aid of fact of it. If one takes the time to actual examine the scriptures the respond is obvious. Deuteronomy 4:39 The LORD he's God in heaven above, and upon the earth below: there is none else. Lord right it particularly is one that regulations. GOD is talked approximately as Lord with the aid of fact he regulations no contradiction approximately GOD right here. Isaiah 40 4:8 Is there a God beside me? yea, there is not any God; i understand no longer any. IS there the different situation this is talked approximately as GOD like GOD himself? No there is not any such situation that could desire to be talked approximately as GOD. No contradiction there the two. ---------------- Genesis a million:26 And God pronounced, enable us to make guy in our image. One GOD of three entities Father + Jesus + Holy Spirit. No contradiction there the two. 1Jn 5:7 For there are 3 that bear checklist in heaven, the father, the be conscious, and the Holy Ghost: and those 3 are one. Exodus 12:12 And against all the gods of Egypt i visit execute judgment. The egyptians had deities that they claimed have been GOD. yet they weren't. That final one ability that there is not any longer even settlement between the gods. certainly, if somebody can clarify this, then do. this could be a extreme oversight in Christianity if there gods, and that they do no longer agree on each and every thing. No in basic terms yet another basless argument to objective and wreck christianity that grow to be no longer even logical. anybody that knows and reads english can understand what the scriptures are asserting in spite of in the event that they do no longer have faith it.

I am not sure what your problem is. We all know that the earth is a flat, circular disk around which the sun travels. This has been proven by astronauts; whenever you see a picture of the earth, it is a two-dimensional disk. There does seem to be some evidence that the earth is not flat, but may have a slight dome shape.
The sun, of course, travels around the earth and can occasionally stop.

Well I think everyone has there own spiritual journey and like me, you are growing spiritually. Because you are asking questions, it shows that you want to believe, but you want to have your own reasons for believing. First, before you answer your question, you are going to have to decide rather or not you believe the Bible as the inerrant word of God based on the research you have done yourself. You either believe it or you don't. Then after you discover you answer, you will see the direction you need to go in to reach your conclusion.
People believe different things, and i fault no one. But what i do not like is when people try to force other to believe in what they believe in. In my pure opinion, I believe the bible is what it has said to be, written by men who claim to be inspired by "God". Rather that is true, I do not know. But I believe, back then, people needed answers like we need today. Sense they did not have the technology to prove anything, they made up myths and stories, partly to create there own culture and partly to control others. By controlling others, they keep the myths and stories and the people held them as the abosolute truth (even today people would rather believe just because someone said it's the absolute truth). True the bible is full of contridictions, but how can it be if it is the words of the one and only perfect God, whom does not make mistakes (so claimed by the christian community). Also the Bible today has been interpreted from hebrew, greek, to english, and others i can't remember. There also has been books taken out the bible like the "Book of Yashar". Also even the name of Jesus was originally Yashua and the name of God was orginally Yahweh in hebrew, but these things have change sense they have interpreted the bible over the years.
The Bible is a great book and might have been inspired by real people and stories, just like our books today. I believe that a higher being or beings created the earth, we are not here just by chance! I believe we humans are would rather believe false conceptions to the point that we will never comprehend the greatness that stands before us. We can not think outside the box we have created for ourselves. But I don't believe this because of the Bible, because I don't believe in the bible. I believe this because of my own evaluation and research and I came to this conclusion of my spiritual journey. It might not be the same tommorrow sense i am a growing being, but this is what i believe today!

The entire purpose of apologetics is to 'explain' this sort of rubbish.
Bats are birds, hares are ruminants, PI=3 and loads more all get explained away on handwaves and assupmtions.
But the bible is the literal truth, except where it is not. (Pull the other one, it has bells on!)

the bigest biblical contradiction is life after death... I remember Harry Houdini seeking to prove life after death... and if any one could break out of heaven or hell it would be him... His wife never got a message from beyond.... and the christians are still waiting for that Jesus message 2000 YEARS... it's not comming.

Note to those who need it: a circle is a two-dimensional shape.
Also, remember the bit where satan takes jesus to a mountain so high you can see the entire earth from it?
