There are a number of reasons why your singing is the best in the shower. First, the heat and humidity from the shower lubricates the vocal chords. Also, we are generally at our most relaxed in the shower, so there's no stress to hold you back (no stage fright). The biggest thing for me, though, is the acoustics of the bathroom. If you take a look at any bathroom, you'll notice that it's generally nice and open. This helps with acoustics, as well as all of the flat surfaces (counter tops, tiles, etc.) that let the sound waves bounce around. I have personally noticed that singing in the bathroom makes my voice sound nicer, even when the shower isn't running.

The steam and heat from the shower loosens up your vocal chords and makes it alot easier to sing. That is why some people use humidifiers when they're sick. Also the resonance in the shower is different, so you'll sound different.

Beacause when the shower is running, it makes noise which blocks out a lot of your singing.

I am thinking this because a person can raise their voice as they hit the high notes, while the water is going full tilt. At least this is what I can think of.

because we have absolutely no inhibitions in the shower...when i want to try a song that i think is too high for me, i lock myself in the my car and belt it because i know noone can hear me...so i just let it loose.

because no one is listing so you can sing how you want and no one cane hear you cuz the water is running plus there is no audience so you don't get nervous
