Working on the premise that the Earth is a living organism, isnt it true that, by sucking out all that oil, we are effectively draining its 'veins' of its lifeblood??

Yep and each major city is a boil on the Earth's skin.

Nah. Water seems to be they key element any living organism uses.
It's hard to imagine but if you look at a 'map' of the earth, cut down the middle, it gives a clue as to how little of the earth we can reach. As deep down as we can dig, there are still miles of earth left before we get to the center so I don't think it will miss the fossil fuels. We apparently will and haven't figured out a sufficient enough way to replace it.

As men are inventing the medecines of critical deseases, similarly there has much more alternate way for earth also. Oil is not needed for earth. The space are filling by water or other elements of earth.
So do not think about it. It is just like a natural process.

First, the earth isn't a living organism. Check out the definition of LIFE.

Second, we might be making it unable to support animal and plant life (including us), but the earth will go on without us.

No. I don't think we can "kill" the planet. Now we're certainly on our way to destroying the environment which sustains us. So we (humans) could be out of the picture and the planet would eventually recover / heal.

We'll end up without oil after sucking it all out. Earth will not be damaged by sucking out all that oil, it will be damaged by global warming and also we will get damaged by using oil and polluting our enviroment so basically we're using earth to kill ourselves.

yes, we are definitely killing the planet. idk about the whole oil thing, but i know that all of the pollution is killing the atmosphere and that by taking away land for buildings and houses kill animals that are living in their natural habitat. lol. but we definitely have to do sumthing to help SAVE our planet, not KILL it. after all, if it weren for the earth, we wouldnt be here, now would we?

we are killing the planet but not by sucking oil or anything we are making the surface on which we live deprive of everything which is essential for earth.and by blasting ,drilling etc.. we r just making the ground for our destruction itself...

The planet is not alive, so we cannot kill it.
