If you're sure they're actually worms, spraying won't help much. The things you are describing wouldn't normally live far from the food source. You should get an exterminator, take the valuables and spend the day or two with friends / family. You probably can't get to where the pests are. And second of all, you're not going to want to eat out of that cabinet for a while.

If you part your kittens fur and look for little black and white specks. It could be flies, the white stuff is the eggs. If it was near the kittens bottom and it looked like a white grain of rice your kitten probably has worms. Fleas actually pass on a type of tape worm in cats that looks like a grain of rice so your cat can have both. Kittens are especially susceptible so it would be best to deflea and deworm the cat. If your cat has worms you might be able to see them in her/his stool so its good to take a look. Also cats with fleas will lick themselves much more than usual.

Ticks aren't fast, but fleas are. A flea comb will let you know if your cat has them (they're very common in summer).
Actually since this is a new cat, it should be checked out by a vet anyway, just mention this to him and he'll check for parasites for you.

It depends on how bi the bug is. The woman in the paper must of not take care of your cat well, but take it too the vet. If you can't afford it, get some bug spray that is fit for pets. Don't spray the kitten in the eyes, but get rid of it fast! if it holds up, the bug may be producing eggs and may make more bugs.

just go go to walmart and buy a flea collar for a kitten, cost is 99 cents. don't waste your money on other flea treatments, flea collars work, but ater 10 weeks get the kitten fixed,

Sounds like fleas to me. Take the cat to the vet and see if the cat is old enough to get frontline or other flea treatment like that put on him otherwise I'm afraid you will have to bathe and comb him everyday like I had to with mine when I brought mine home from the shelter when he was covered in fleas.
