One person's statistics, is another's garbage.

The hottest year was 2005 but early data shows 2007 may be hotter.

Even if 1934 or 1922 it still does not disprove human involvement since humans started global pollution since 1850 when factories became common.

Do not listen to people who say "This generally disputes that warming is caused by man." because they think pollution started after they were born. When in fact global pollution is older than any human currently alive.

There was a flaw in the way the calculations were done that placed the hottest years on record at 1998 and later.

Once the flaw was caught and corrected by a Canadian scientist, the data was corrected to show the hottest year was 1934, the next 1922, then 1998.

This generally disputes that warming is caused by man.

Here's one good picture from NASA.

And another, which cuts off in 2004. 2005 was warmer than 1998.:

Note that 1934 was not particularly warm, globally.

From average global temperature measurements, like this one:

However, it now appears that 2005 was slightly hotter than 1998. If you're thinking about 1934, it was not even a warm year. See this question for an explanation as to why that's incorrect:

I'm not aware of any "Advocates". Is that like "pro choice" or "I like Ike"? Why would an observed phenomenon require an advocate?

It doesn't matter in the slightest what the hottest years on record were as far as the planet is concerned. I'm sure the journalists have some fun with it, but it's meaningless data.
