waiting on something? I am waiting a reply about a loan I applied for to buy my husband a truck for his birthday and I am so nervous. My tummy is in knots and ewverything, how do I deal with this and calm myself down?

You are nervous because it is out of your control. You need to just relax and realize that this loan is not for an operation or anything vital, it is for a present that would be nice to have, but not NECESSARY. If it is meant to happen, it will happen. Relax! :-)

Look at your checkbook.

A loan on a truck - for a birthday gift ???
And he doesn't know???

That's excessive and unwise to both your relationship and your checkbook, messing with family finances.

You have reason to be nervous with tummy in knots!

How about scaling back to Dinner and a Movie, like most of us. And forget the loan.
Now that would make any husband very happy.

I would recommend doing something physical. Go for a hike, play a sport you enjoy. Normally physical work takes your mind off other things. If it is something that is more strenuous (a jog instead of a walk) it'll be more effective in taking your mind off things. Good luck with the loan.
