It depends how much u gave them and did u only try once and it was the same bag? it could be a bad batch or it could be a brand your cat may not like. It's usually not common but don't worry if you try a different brand and don't give it as much maybe it won't get sick. if it still gets sick i wouldn't give it any more.

I would try organic catnip. Catnip itself shouldn't make the cat sick so maybe the brand you got has chemicals that bother your cat.

Cats do not overdose on catnip. Its not a drug. They can get weird on it however. I have not heard of a cat vomiting after eating catnip though. Usually my cats will only roll in it and will not ingest a large amount.

I particularly have 3 cats - I particularly have offered them catnip toys - surprisingly sufficient, all 3 of them circulate mad for one specifically - they salivate and roll over it and rub their faces - the particular toy they prefer replaced into offered a protracted time in the past, in spite of the shown fact that it replaced right into a very severe high quality one with the excellent catnip. I understand from the internet that it incredibly is an asiatic herb - referred to as Nepeta - chemical interior the stem and that it incredibly is an aphrodesiac

I've heard about this. Just keep the catnip away in future.

How much catnip? They can O.D... Does your cat eat the herb, or just roll around on it?

Too many fresh or dried leaves will make some cats barf. Just cut back on the amount, maybe only give half, and that should be ok.

If its too much and for too long, they can get sick. Dont let cat eat it, just let her roll on it. Put it in a old sock or toy for her to play with, for a short time, or dont let her have it anymore.
