Why not be a grownup and take care of your problems before you go? Looks like you have the money.

If you wrote the check 2 years ago, you should already have taken care of it. If you are sincere, even in Mexico, send them a letter. Keep a copy of the letter. If you are there long enough, maybe they will send you a letter back in response. If you can show good faith to the company, they may drop the charges. However, it will take time to make all this happen. The process will take severall weeks before the warrant is removed if there actually is one. The flip side is - - - - They don't stop every single person coming into the U. S. and do a background check so you might get lucky and be in the percentage that just gets to walk past and show your passport. It's pretty unlikely that they would arrest and extradite you for a misdemeanor crime. Good luck Oh and Stick em up buddy - you're under arrest. We've traced your ip address and will be there in 15 minutes to get you. Pack your bags.

So you've been on vacation for 2 years!????!! must be nice. Well unless you pay off your debts when you get back you could, and depending on the amounts you wrote the checks for, thats important info too so I am not sure. I would guess you'll will just have to pay a ton and have insanely bad credit, unless you wrote checks in large amounts then I think you will be arrested :( good luck.

They will arrest you before you get to the border. In the U.S. there are retinal scanning devices built in to all goverment signs. They are coordinated with the national crime database and all those people with warrants are arrested within moments of passing a government sign.

More than likely you are fine.....contrary to popular opinion, they do nothing but check your passport against your id when you re-enter the US. I went to Europe recently, and there were no "scans"-at least not yet. Plus, I seriously doubt you will be on the terrorist watch list for bad checks. They don't do a database check for misdemeanors on reintry if you are a citizen.

Don't people understand what they're reading? Anyways, you may get arrested but it is up to the county/state that the charges are from to expedite you to their facility. A lot of times, it the cost outweighs the benefit of expediting, then you could get released.

you will probably have some type of warrant out for your arrest, im not exactly sure but i know the statue of limitations is 6 (or 7) years, after that they cant touch you for anything but rape and murder i think.

If a warrant is out, they will only know if you are not clean and they check you out.
They will just pass you through as long as your ID as a citizen is in order.

How many bad checks did you write?!
See if there's some way you can fix it before you come back into the country... good luck with that one.
