I'm fixing up our children's bathroom (also the main bathroom in the house) so that we can sell our house. The vanity top DESPERATELY needs to be replaced. Currently, there is a 55" counter with double bowls in there. There is only about 8 inches of space between the bowls, and it is hard to find places to store towels in there because the space is so small. There is no hallway closet or anywhere to store towels for this bathroom other than under the sinks. Also, the bathroom is too small to put a storage tower. If I were to stay in the house, I'd replace it with a single bowl so I'd have more surface space in there. Since I plan on selling it though, I have to make the choice that would appeal most to buyers. Do you think most buyers would prefer a second sink or extra surface area?

I would stay with the double sink as it is so much easier for two to use the sinks at the same time rather than squeezing into one. Extra space to store fresh towels can be found in other places like maybe in their own rooms or can you take advantage of overhead wall space? There are also racks to fit over the back of the door to hold extras. Roll up small towels and wash clothes and place them in a basket on the back of the toilet.

Hi, It depends on your other bathrooms in the house - if you only have one bathroom than I would agree that you should keep the double sinks.

If you have another bathroom in the house, like the master bathroom then consider only using one sink in this children's bathroom.

It sounds like this bathroom might be considered to be a guest bathroom by a future buyer and in that case one sink would be perfect.
