The sheets work, and while the dustruffle fits, it will lay out differently. Either the top or bottom side will not have a ruffle. If you have one end against the wall that won't really matter; and the back will have a ruffle, but if you have that against the wall it won't matter either. It really depends on how you have it laid out in your room.

They should be about the same size if not a wee bit smaller, the day bed itself.

If the sheets are too big, get the hold in place sheet snaps. Walmart, Dollar Store, or any home decor store will have them. They always work a charm when a sheet is too big.
Keeps them from coming off the corners.

Day beds are almost always a twin size so you shouldn't have a problem but it's always wise to keep your receipt in case a sheet is off sized.
