Okay, so my friend who crashed my car into the curb will be paying and he told his parents. He wants to, though, cover it with insurance and then his parents will pay if it's not possible. The repairs will be pretty price-y (The car hit the curb behind the front right tire so the entire right front side (07 civic -____-!) of the car bent upward/forward, the pieces behind the side mirror popped out with the movement, the black thing under the bumper came out and a buncha other crap too. And, the washer fluid did something funky.)
What is the most reasonable option: insurance or just cash?

Hmm I was worried about a bent frame too because then it probably won't be worth the repair. But, I got an estimate of the estimate so far and the mechanic says around $5,000 is probable.

And no matter how much I think about it, I believe he was being reckless since even if another car made a turn in front of us without stopping at the stop sign, he should've been able to stop midturn. Or his driving instincts just sucks. But honestly, I don't know how fast he was going or what happened since I was choosing a cd at the time.

IF he wants to cover it -- FINE, But get him to admit liability in writing. If you file an insurance report, it will go on your record and will probably affect your rate.

Take the car to a reputable shop and let him pay the tab.

are u sur ehe hit the curb cause hitting the curb won't make the front bend or all the way to the washer fluid he probably hit a pole or a car if he did then how fast was he going when he hit the curb that have to be a high curb and going at least 55 mph if ur mirror poped out then it would cost lots of money maybe have to fix the frame and the car would still not drive the same u'll need ball joint, tie rod maybe shoks and springs and also control arm axle and plues the rim and tire hub bearing too all totals would be about 500 dollars in parts
labor about 1500

Sorry. Insurance goes with vehicles, not with drivers. If he was driving with your permission, it doesn't matter what insurance he has, it is your insurance that will cover it. And if it was his fault, that makes it your fault, and your insurance will only cover it if you have collision, and it will be less your deductible. Whether he admits fault or not will be a moot point, your insurance paid out, it goes against your policy, you have had a claim now, your rates *may* go up.

To save lots of problems for you, if he can pay you cash he should do that, and then you get it fixed, leaving the insurance company out of the loop.

IDK if his auto liability will cover it as he was the driver. He will have to check with his ins.
You may have to use your collision ins., pay the deductible.

You have one other problem on the car.
PROBABLE BENT FRAME.

Be cetain an experienced mechanic checks everything.
