It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.

Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.

However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Well, I am a Christian and am not a Jehovah's Witness, but I don't hate them at all. So you may be guilty of a stereotype here. In any case, I think that some people get annoyed with pretty much ANYONE that comes to their door telling them what to believe, and perhaps some people feel sorry for the children not being able to celebrate Christmas or their birthdays. Other than that, I suspect most people who hate them are just haters who don't like anyone that thinks differently than they do. Definitely not a Christian-specific problem!

The Bible says that anyone who hates is a follower of the devil. So no Christians should be hating them. Just disapproving of them. They decided to remove all but two of the 306 commandments of the Bible, only two of the first Ten Commandments.
I have never heard anyone call them "Jehovah Wickedness".

What do you mean other Christians?

Are we talking about hating other J W's?

Oh...now I read it better you mean Religions!

They don't hate just more informed that's all.

I hear that they also are disciplined and shunned to the back of the building. No one is allowed to socialize with them either while they are being punished.
I guess you would call it a time out for several weeks.

So I wonder how many got suck sitting in the back of the building..since they do not like it called a church or organization, I'll just say building...

for eating a chocolate Easter Egg or Bunny... since they do not celebrate "Pagan Holidays?"

I'm not making fun either...It just popped up in my head and thought I would ask.

Also they find the Flag of the United States as a god idol.
They refuse to honor it.
I wonder ...do they also enjoy the freedom it reprents for all those who gave it their all and those who died to preserve our freedom?

I personally don't hate them ..my Grandmother died after converting to one. She would be afraid to give us kids a Birthday or Christmas gift for it is wrong. So she would sneak it to me and say it wasn't a gift. But she was letting me have it.

Not all Christians practice what they preach, and use name calling as an excuse to be "holier than thou". JW's are very sincere about what they believe and want others to "know" what they "know". They are sincerely wrong about some things, and sincerely right about other things. No Church has a monopoly on God, or the truth, or all the answers.

The problem is JW's only believe what their religious leaders teach them. Most people are so biblically illiterate that they don't know why they believe what they do. Most just join a Church they like and try to ride the preacher's coat tails into heaven. JW's are no different. God has a plan for all His creation, no matter what you believe it will not change the result.

I'm a JW, & people hate us because we teach the truth from the bible, the same as they hated Jesus because he taught the truth which exposed the false doctrines & teachings of the religious leaders (in his own religion Judism)

Why don't ;you just sit down next time you meet a JW & ask some questions, we'll give you the answer from the Bible, not our own opinion

LOL! personally, I don't hate them. seriously, I thought the founder was just joking until the members became quite a number that I realized that the founder was serious in founding a new set of beliefs and religion. I don't hate them, I just don't take them seriously that's all.

too broad a generalization as usual.

i don't hate some of my family members. nor do I hate JW's. i think many of their teachings are incorrect but that's no reason to hate.

Mostly because they are pushy. I have never seen a Christian Religion go door to door pushing what they believe in!

Because Christian sects just hate everyone who isn't in theirs.
