I have an addiction which seems to be almost impossible to stop: I jerk off every day.
I´m telling you this because I just don´t know what to do about it:

I have
repeatedly tried to stop doing it, and I promised my Lord Jesus christ I wouldn´t do it anymore:However, I´m weak and my weakness is stronger than me.Little by little it´s ruining my life: i do it very often, and I feel run down and desperate because I offend God. But I turn the Tv on and always find something there, or I do it in bed.
Could you please help me??It´s literally screwing up my whole life, I´m hooked on it. I went as far as swearing to Christ I´d never do it again. However, I fall over and over again. Please don´t laugh at me or think I deserve it because I´m a sinner. I need your help!!

You should study Christ's words in the Bible my friend, that's the only way you can escape from your addiction.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Yes, it's true that the Lord isn't a fan of masturbation. He says so in 1st Corinthians.

18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
~1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (New International Version)~

However, it pleases Him that you've acknowledged you've been struggling in this area, and that you're attempting to seek help. And don't let the lies of the Enemy (Satan) make you think that you are the only Christian whose struggled with this. I truly believe that the majority of Christians have at some point, whether they want to admit it or not. Furthermore, as humans it's within our nature to give way to weaknesses, so it's vital that we seek the Lord and pray He gives us strength.

13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
~Philippians 4:13 (New King James Version)~

So, to fight off those urges I think you need to be praying for strength, get lost in The Word and perhaps talk to someone you trust, who won't judge you and can be an accountability partner. Just remember that God is faithful, will never tempt you more than what you can bear and will provide a way to be victorious. God Bless.

13No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
~1 Corinthians 10:13 (New International Version)~

MB is not in itself a sin. However, it does bring about the result of guilt and depression and similar emotions.

While MB may not be a sin, the fantasies and thoughts that drive you during it, are sinful.

First realize, that it is normal. Not abnormal. Whether someone is filled with the power of the Holy Ghost, or a new convert, you are not despised or hated or rejected by God. Neither are you a "vile sinner", and such like.

One thing is for sure, (not sure how old you are) but i would use that as a guage to channel my energies into thinking about marraige and life. Your drives in essence are for your future wife.

Right now, you can repent, give it to God the best you can, and try to realize and accept God's grace and forgiveness for thoughts that are not pure.

Not sure how it's "ruining your life" but getting an understanding that God put that drive in you should simmer your anxiety a bit. You're fine. Just be careful where you allow your thoughts to go.

Don't promise God too many things, and esp. things that are a natural part of who you are as a man.

Keep in the word "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. " (Ps. 119:9) This will help a great deal. The more active you are in Godly things, the more it takes your mind off that and into Him. Working with people, ministering, helping will add to helping you overcome many times as well.

There is a website/ministry called www.xxxchurch.com. They help out people who have pornography addictions. They can probably help you out too.

They also expose the pornography industry for what it is. They've helped people get out of porn and back into a relationship with God (they helped an atheistic pornographer get saved; the guy is now going into the seminary).

One of the natures of sin is for the person to feel guilty after what they have done. I'm sure you're not the only one out there that feels this way. On the xxxchurch.com website, there are dozens of testimonies from people who have these kinds of habits and thoughts. You can also get free accountability software to keep you from viewing pornography. They also have podcasts too, so if you have an iPod or an MP3 player, listen to them.

Check them out. It might be a breath of fresh air for you. They're a complete, non-judgemental ministry; they won't tell you to burn in hell or anything like that. God bless and I'll keep you in my prayers, ok? If you need someone to talk to, shoot me a message.

First of all....it sounds like there's a spirit behind that. A spirit of lust or self-pleasure. I would suggest you get a thorough understanding of deliverance....and seek the Lord about it. He will deliver you from it ( when you are TRULY ready) and you won't even have the desire to do that anymore. God is the only deliverer. Before you seek deliverance you should fast first.
And also...please don't make a promise to God because the bible tells you not to do so. It says to just let your yes be yes and your no be no. (Matt. 5:33-37)
And the bible also instructs us to remove ourselves (or if need be have them removed) those things that are causing us to sin. Remove yourself from watching those things that will cause you to sin.(Matt.5:27-30)
And pray earnestly during your fast that God will remove that spirit from you. He will do it if you believe HIm and really want it removed!!!!
Go and be blessed! :)

You are not alone my friend!
Some believe that the "thorn in the flesh" that the Apostle Paul spoke of in The Bible was sexual desire (he was previously some sort of gladiator in charge of killing Christians).
Find things to keep yourself busy so your mind doesn't stray to those things. And be careful what you ask God for because He sometimes gives you what you asked for but not the way you thought he would.
Get involved in a local Church!

You have to be strong and keep praying and tell Jesus to give you strentgh to keep up.I know how hard it is because I used to be with any guys I liked . But God is good I stopped and I'm very proud of myself and I 'am very happy. Don't give up on Him I know you can stop that I believe in you even though I don't really know you but I know you can.

My best advice for you would be to go to a local Christian church and ask to speak with the pastor. You can talk to them about it and that way you'll have someone who will be there and continually check up on you to see how you're doing.

I'm sorry....please tell me how masturbation is a sin, unless the fantasies you are having are sinful, in which case you should seek out some mature, Christian counseling.
