Why!?- im a universalist unitarian and we are open minded. we arent told wat to believe or wats right and wat wrong...we accept that everyone had different beliefs and we respect their beliefs. no one tells us wat to believe or wat to think...we are allowed to decide that for ourselves

EVERYONE here, has their opinion of what is right...that's what makes it so interesting...
Some people will not except what others say about their Religion, and they attack you...YOU really need to watch out for these people...sometimes a way to see this is to just sit back and read the Q's & A's...
Just observe what is going on...and you will figure things out real fast...
OH, and welcome...and don't let the NUTS
scare YOU...

NO you seem to be right, any free flow of ideas have to come from an understanding that your point is just as good as mine.

Some believe that they are the only true right others believe that everyone else is wrong. What Jesus did is go into all countries seeking after those who were lost not trying to force people into believing but, trying to open hearts so that they wanted to know more. Most who try to evangelize forget this aspect of who Jesus is. Some think that the only way to show someone the light of Jesus is to condemn them for who they are instead of loving them despite it.

Just my two-cents.

There are some people that get it and some people that don't. As you've seen many people are narrow minded when it comes to other beliefs and religions.I for one belive in God and love him with all my heart.I've seen many answers here like "I don't know God." or "God is my enemy because he didn't buy me a good computer"--that is just...that's just awfull.

I don't want everyone to believe in God like me...I'm not saying that I do...but different religious beliefs caused some wars befor and now...and well...

In two,no wait,three words "YOU'RE FREAKIN RIGHT!!!!"

I will accept ideas from any religion as long as they make sense, but I will refuse to believe in something that is illogical or destructive.

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it”

Because strait is the gate, and NARROW is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:14

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life - see John 14:6

Wait till you meet the ones that are totally closed up with no intention for repair. You will not know if you would rather cry or laugh. Then sadly you become numb to it all; but, only for a moment.

I am with you on this one, Em. I was raised Catholic, and while I have nothing against the Catholic church, I realized it wasn't for me. I believe, as you do, that we all have the right to worship and love God in our own way. I believe in a person's right to their own religious opinions and beliefs.

What do you mean "accepting other religions?" The beliefsets of many individuals cannot co-exist with conflicting beliefs. This is logic, not impoliteness.

Whenever I mention Ferretism I seem to get a lot of thumbs down. We should respect others beliefs.

this is a place of intolerance and hate, i think its sparked from debate.

there are others here that are here to learn and teach though. people who debate/argue with respect for the others.
