It is as if they think that their mommy is going to come behind them and clean up their messes. I have seen staples removed with the staple left ALL over the copy area, coffee and hot chocolate spilled ALL over the kitchen counter top and even empty creamers and sugar packets lying on the counter. I am at my wits end. How do I get them to do something?

How hard is it to throw a G.D. stir stick into the trash mere inches away from where they lay?!?

WE HAVE PHUCKING SIGNS ALL OVER THAT SAY PLEASE RESPECT YOUR COWORKERS AND CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF. YET STILL, THERE IS ROTTING FOOD IN THE FRIDGE AND TRASH ON THE FLOOR IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM. I HATE PEOPLE!

I like it when you hate people like I do.

Let's face it.......some people are slobs. That type of messiness bugs me too. Perhaps you could have a talk with someone in Personnel & see if they would print up some notices about keeping the kitchen clean & picked up. Maybe these lazy people don't think it's their job to clean up after themselves & they are leaving it up to the cleaning crew.

Most office post notes to inform people to clean up after themselves. Also talk about it in staff meeting or just in general with co-workers get the word out to people.

I realize you should not have to do these things but in your office it is needed and it will work.

I know your frustration! Make up a sign which reads,"Please leave this staff room in a clean and tidy condition as there are no house maids here"

Tell them that you are considering asking your supervisor to hire a full-time janitor to follow everybody around all day and pick up after them, and ask if they would support you by chipping in a portion of their salary to pay for it.

If nothing else works, money always talks.

Complain to your supervisor/team leader or produce a bold notice requesting staff to keep the area tidy and display it.
