My cat breathes weird, as if she has a cold, but she's done that for most of her life. She also is pretty skinny and she doesn't let people pet her unless she's laying down. she eats and is active, chasing my other cat around. she hasn't been spayed yet, but she will soon. She's 4 years old. Can she have cancer?

cancer is a bit of an extereme diagnosis! she may have had cat flu when she was a kitten, or maybe its just her way! not all people breathe the same either! (believe me, i sleep next to a snoring lump) as for the petting when she's lying down, perhaps thats when she feels most comfortable! i wouldn't worry too much!

Cats do have a higher risk of cancer if they haven't been spayed.

It sounds like an upper respiratory problem. Those can be cured if treated pretty easily. I would recommend taking her in to the vet for a check up.

It sounds more like either a chronic nasal infection or asthma. A vet would know pretty much just with doing a checkup on her.

I would check in with the vet. Four yrs is too young to start getting illnesses. Usually cats have illnesses when they start to age...7yrs+.

Best wishes to your kitties.
