I am an antagonist in a VERY Mormon community, and I can't handle people blinding dissing the LDS. (It makes me very mad!)

Yet someone can say something that diggs at the core of who I am, and I'll want to continue the conversation.

Also, all the mormons I know are very good natured about how people view their relgion. They realize it has its weird parts, and that it has a past.

Today, Mormonism is one of the relgions I admire the most. I think they have a beautiful doctorine, and powerful practices.

I do not fancy myself a future converter, for many of the same reasons people make fun of the relgion (excluding the idiots who have no idea what they are talking about- which I'm bound to get a few of in this message)

OH! forgot to write my question...

Is this weird? What do you think of this?

It is not MY doctorine. Also, it isn't the disagreement that upsets me. I have asked several questions on the Mormon Doctorine- and instead of people answering me- they tell me how false it is.

I love the Mormon Doctorine (even if I don't believe it) and it upsets me when people who have no idea what they're talking about insult it.

My issue is that if someone treated my own beliefs with as much ignorance and hatred- I couldn't care less.

You need to separate yourself from the doctrine. Most intelligent discussion is centered on what mormon doctrine is provable or disprovable, but YA, being what it is, brings out the childish pre-teens who think they're being witty. If your religious beliefs are called into question, getting mad is not the best way to handle a discussion. Your task is to deal with the 'idiots' who actually *do* know what they're talking about.

My premise is this: The teachings of the LDS church are false at best, and misleading at worst. What would be your repsonse?

Not sure if there was a real question in there or not. While I have the deepest respect for the way Mormons are... well not to thrilled about missionary dating or marriage (dating to convert some one). I have very little respect for them using Masonic ritual as part of their religion or the laughable way that they received their scripture.
