Yes on or before the third anniversary of the original registration. You can do it up to a month early, show the reg document and get up to 13 months MOT

Yes. In the first year do it as near as you can preferably on the date but after that you can do it up to 2 weeks before and have it added to you current MOT so in you second and third MOT's you can fail and have time to get it repaired before the MOT expires

Yes it does have to MOT'd three years from the date of first registration - this date is shown on the V5 Registration document.
