Hope? Trust? Intuition?

Hope, trust, and intuition :)

My best friend died in January. She was 25. She left behind a 4-month old child and a fiance (my brother in law). I can't live the rest of my life thinking she is nothing more than a dead body in the ground. Sorry, but it just doesn't work for me.

Besides, the connections I feel with other humans I think is so deep that it cannot be defined with science. I don't care what any atheist says. There's something else going on behind the scenes here.

Call me Pascal. Call me a wimp. Call me whatever you want. I believe in God the same way I believe that goodness exists. Maybe God is just another word for all things good in the world.

I speculate, study, and feel. That leads me to my conclusions and I couldn't care less if other people think I'm wrong or right, as long as they respect me.

Faith is a hard subject for me, because I guess Christians will tell you the whole point of faith is to believe without God giving you obvious proof (or any proof at all, really).

As you can see I'm still figuring all this out for myself, but I do have faith that something bigger than what we know exists.

Heb 11: 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
It is by faith we say we are made new by the atonement and resurrection of Jesus.
Faith is a gift from God to those who seek the truth it is through faith we receive revelation of God.
Without faith we can not believe God.

Faith comes from having had prayer requests actually come true. God has a certain personality that, when you learn it, you can more effectively pray. It's why you've heard people say " a personal relationship with God".
To know God is to work with Him until you can find how he works. But it all starts with finding him. And until you do, you'll never know what faith is.

Faith means believing in something we do not see by our naked eye.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the proving of things not seen.

I believe in God because even though I can't see Him with my eyes, I can feel Him in my life, just like the wind, you can't see it but you will feel it.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

I think you're right on point with all of the above, mainly trust and intuition.
