My sister has the same hair. She's cursed with that horse hair. Straight, no curl, no wave nothing.

She put in a perm once, it lasted all of a week. Hot rollers, curling iron etc only last a few hours.

Not really much you can do about it, sorry

Use lots of mousse and try a curling brush instead of an iron. Being Asian, I have some of the same issues. Also, use a firm spray to hold it in place once it is curled. I suggest "got 2b glued" freeze spray. Your hair won't move until you wash it with that stuff! Good luck!

my sister has the SAME problem she got a perm. that was pretty light [they didnt charge as much] but even though she has a perm when she gets ready in the morning she uses a spray bottle full of water. sprays it on her hair to make it damp. then she bought this gel at target called scrunching gel. put that in your hands rub them together and flip your hair down and "scrunch" your hair. hope that helps. sorry if it doesnt

Wet set your hair. Use the plastic snap around magnetic rollers with a bottle of setting lotion.

Your curls will last until you roll it up again at night.

A lot of people have this problem. It would be best for you to get a perm becuase with your hair texture, ot wont last long, maybe a week. And remeber you could always flat iron it.

the best thing for you to do is put the rollers before you go to sleep and then when you wake up do what you have to do and hten when you are done take the rollers off. or if they dont work then try the hair curler.put hairspray on it to or gel.

you should try putting hair spray in it after you curl it and it will most likely stay.

Honestly, not sure what to say or suggest, mine is very thick and heavy and has never held anything good or for long either. I gave up years ago trying to make it do what it didn't want to...just plain old natural for me these days.

you could try a setting spray. i used some from matrix or redken & it really held my curl. It's worth a try. good luck!
