No, I prayed for a home, surprisingly I was actually given a home, I didn't have to pay for it, it was given to me free of charge. That is only one of the prayers God has answered for me out of many. I didn't think anything like that could possibly happen in this day and age ,but it did.

Well, for me, I've always prayed for stuff that was pretty unlikely. It's just that if God doesn't answer my prayer in the way I think He should, that just means it was either from my own selfish ambition or He is going to fulfill it in a different way.

Last month, me and my friends and youth pastors went to a park and had an altar call for salvation right there in public. At first I was like "Yeah if anyone comes up it will be like one or two people... but I really want to see all of these people come up." There were 15 people that came up out of the 20ish that were watching us. Many of them had been smoking and laughing at us at first... but they got serious near the end of the message and then they were the first ones to come up.

I thought that was pretty awesome!

By unlikely do you mean a girl who was supposed to either die or be in PVS be attending college? that kind of unlikely?
Or perhaps like a Holy God creating a way for sinful human to be transformed and enter heaven(Acts 2:38)?

We're suppose to pray for Gods will to be done. He knows what we need in our life and whats best for us. If we pray only for what we want, then thats like saying we think we know more about what we need in our lives than what God does. If we trust in God and pray for Gods direction and strength, he will put the things in our life that we need.

Peopl pray for all kinds of nonsense. There are scores of verses that describe the proper way to pray, and what to pray FOR. The main reason people do NOT see answered prayer is also pretty easily traced...

Jam 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume [it] upon your lusts.

The *often* is unlikely to be a true answer..... for I nor you nor anyone knows...... but, I am sure that there are those who pray both ways..... they ask for what they need, as instructed, and they also ask for what they want, such as I do..... and I do get blessings that are unexpected !!! and NEVER ask for...... not many, but I have gotten a few......... God bless

something i read not long ago comes to my mind right now. i don't know exactly how it goes but, there's some reason why God hates amputees. since a lot of magically cured diseases have been attributed to God, but no amputee has ever been seen to regrown the lost limb.

"Dear Jesus, please give me whatever job you think is best for me, even if I will hate it every moment for the rest of my life and my boss will suck and coworkers will drive me crazy. Amen."

"Dear Jesus, please heal Timmy of his brain tumor, but only if you think he'll grow up to be a good Christian boy. Otherwise, it's okay to let him die, we can always have another kid. Amen."

"Dear Jesus, please kill all the unbelievers and homos and lesbians and feminists and drug dealers and hookers by sending them a hurricane, only please don't do it when my brother-in-law, Ted, is there because he's really cool. Unless, of course, he's a closet homo. Amen."

They pray to god to keep them safe through the night, and then one of them is murdered in their sleep and, well, its gods will, thy will be done.

doesn't make any sense.
