Can you truly not hear through it or is sound just muffled? Hydrogen peroxide will only help for excessive earwax, which could cause the symptoms you are describing, but should've cleared up with its use. Congestion in the Eustachian tubes (tubes connected from your nasal passages to your inner ear that equalize your ears with the atmosphere and are what you're trying to clear by holding your nose and blowing, incidentally called the Valsalva maneuver) can often make hearing difficult. That's why it's tough to hear when you have a bad cold. Try a decongestant and lots of water. The holding your nose and blowing technique should be used cautiously; blow lightly. If it doesn't correct, don't try harder. Any potential blockage can get lodged further in. If it doesn't improve in a week or your truly cannot hear from that ear, see a doctor.

Dont put hydro peroxide in your ear!!!! What are you thinking?
Sorry I dont mean to freak out but dont put anything in your ears!!!
YOu cant hear anthing? If it's water related the best thing is laying on the opposite side of your head. Not banging your head.
And if it's not water related got to the doctor. Ears have very sensitive bones and they can be damaged easily.
Take it easy and don't start doing any home remedy's. Your doctor will know best.

I once had a problem where I couldn't hear much out of one ear. I tried putting earwax remover in it, but that didn't help. I finally had to go to the doctor. He looked and said it was indeed earwax blockage. He just took a bulb syringe, filled it with warm water, had me tilt my head so that the stuffy ear was lower, and then squirted it rather hard and fast into my ear. It hurt a little bit when he did that, but it definitely got rid of the wax and solved my problem.

well if it was caused by swimming you could have a condition called swimmers ear you can buy drops for your easr and the water will clear out eventuallly. if not your ear is just clogged it could be a build up of wax in your ears and you can see a doctor and they will use a flushers type things that will flush everything out of your ear and you will hear as good as new!
good luck!

Apply a heating pad over your ear and neck. It may relieve the pressure and allow the fluid in your middle ear to escape.
