as far as i know driver's licente is vaild four tourists, why exist car rental business...? it's for 30 day or so... then u have to get one

She can get an internation drivers license in her country.
I use one when traveling abroad.
Tourist visa visitors are not issues state licenses.

tourists may not take the us driving exam. She can however get an international drivers liscences issued from you home country which will allow her to drive here.

Really you can't. But most states respect driver's licenses issued by foreign countries. Have her get her license where she lives.

What a stupid question. No. You must be a citizen of the state for at least 30 days. Birth certificate required. And if your mom is just visiting, she is not a citizen.

No you need to be a U.S. citizen just go to a car rental place and get a car or use a family members because you can use your Australian one. Take some drives on side streets to get used to driving on the left of the car.
