I owe them more than I can count. They are the reason I am here and the reason I care for my own children. They are the reason I know right from wrong. They taught me how to love and be loved. They showed me God and then let me to choose my own path.

Quran|Sura #17 |The night journey

23 And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour.
24 And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: "My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small."

I owe my mother so much, she raised me well. She is loving, compassionate, helpful and beautiful. When she is in need of assistance, I am always by her side to help. When she is old, she will continue to have my help. I do not need a bogus exploited book written by murderers and sexists to tell me that my mother is rightfully in need of my help in the future.

Respect due the parent who raised me against quite a few nasty odds, and kindness, altruism and compassion as I can.
