In Indian philosophy we mostly come across "soul" and "spirit" I mean "Manas" and "Atma" in Sanskrit. How the two terms be analyzed and differentiated from each other? As far as I understand they don't have any physical form, how then these two concepts be found in the physical body. Even in metaphysical point of view 'in the law of correspondence' we still see these two words very frequently. Answer please!

Sorry, I have no clue what 'Manas' is. But Atma is the soul/spirit/conscience of all of us. It is the "mental stuff", which is distinct from the "physical stuff" to use very crude terms. When Atma reunites with Brahma, that is Nirvana.

According to me the qusetion is not accurate. The word manas means mind or of mind. The word atma means soul. What remains is spirit. It can be loosely translated as energy The soul will be an entity and spirit will be a collective name. We can say the soul is made up of spirit. The soul has an individual character but the underlying principle is spirit. This is my opinion. need not be correct.

hindu philosophy advocates that every human being is the child of creator. and the creators presence will be in human body which is known as atman or soul. it has no extinction. at the time of death the soul will leave the human body in physical form and reaches and mingles with god. again as per the instructions of god the soul wil take a new from and god will give posting orders in a particular family. that is born to so and so parents. so there is no spoilage to soul. but every human being with practice of yoga can see the soul which will be in the form of light with in the body. but it requires special qualification. the full manifestation of god cannot be seen with two small eyes. where as spirit means persons who commit suicide and those soul/spirit will not leave and it remains to complete the life span. suppose if a person has 80 years span if he dies before 80 for example at 40 the next janma will be for 40 years only and he has to complete the cycle. this is according to hindu philosophy and as a matter of fact soul/conscience/spirit/light /atman are one and the same and are synomous.

Atma is soul/spirit. From manas coming from mind, we get concentration and from spirit, which is present in the heart, we get attention. Being good in concentration does not also mean that one is attentive. But a person, who has good attention will also automatically have good concentration .

Instead of splitting soul, spirit from humans, combine them. You get confidence. I live, i will die and I will go to heaven or hell. What ever comes, it is for me. I will have to correct my life accordingly. Logically correct and harmless concept. Why mess us with unknown and hypothetical philosophies and teachings causing split personality disorder.

People believe that our soul goes to heaven or hell. The spirit revolves around the earth. It is as if you don't become good or bad, your soul or spirit does. A good escape from responsibilities.

The libs' smartass responses are that 'the hearth is irrational and has no concepts'.... which sounds an damaging lot like the Islamo-fascists. So yeah, i think an identical techniques of appeasement and glorification of dictators by the libs ought to notice right here as properly. i think the fires love Bush, he has opened up their recruting possibilities, and that they are changing homestead after homestead to their way of thinking. we are going to could desire to eliminate those muslim foot baths, because of the fact wildfires would be gravely offended by the sight of water. And God forbid there could be any profiling on the airports... now wildfires could desire to be allowed on planes too. If Bush needs to declare conflict on those fires, the libs would be asking whilst he's going to get HIS daughters available to southern california to combat them.
