I was cleaning the rifle and I must have pulled the slide back just a little too far and now it won't close. After I could not get it to close I broke the gun down to see if I could determine the problem. No luck yet, and I dont want to force it. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Your Marlin 60W comes equipped with a "last shot hold open " feature. Hold the gun in you left hand pointed away from you. With your right hand grasp the Charging Handle and pull slightly away from the gun (as if you were trying to pull the handle away from the receiver) and rearward at the same time. This should deactivate the bolt hold open feature and the bolt will close to it's normal ready to fire position.

you just engaged the feature that holds it open. Just point the firearm in a safe direction, pull back and slightly out on the bolt handle, it should then go forward.
