Is this the Vivitar with the "Auto Focus" box on the side of it? I did a google search but it wasn't very productive.

Vivitar offered lenses for all the major manufacturers. Keep in mind that Vivitar was not a manufacturer - they designed the lens and someone else manufactured it. This resulted in some uneven quality, depending on who the low bidder happened to be.

It might be best to save your money and buy a Canon lens designed for your Canon camera.

If you're talking about the one i have, its made to fit any canon camera with an FD mount. (F-1 to T90) It switches between manual and autofocus. The autofocus has two settings, S and C which relate to close or far focusing. The front lens is 58mm in diameter. It has a ratio of 1:4.5 The zoom, as you mentioned ranges from 75-200mm. The autofocus is operated by a button on the side and is powered by 3 AAA batteries that slot in to a compartment next to the button.
The aperture ranges from 4.5 to 22 as well as having an 'auto aperture' setting.
The autofocus is controlled entirely within the lens as it is made to fit manual focus camera bodies
