For some reason I keep looseing intrest in things.
I mean like 4 months ago I was really into card collecting then just this summer I just stoped I didn't want to do it anymore. And basketball I used to love playing I'd play everyday but I just got bored of doing it for some reason. The only thing I have had interest in is music, girls, and hanging out. I'm 14 so does my age or anything have to do with this?

I was just like you I used to collect baseball cards as an early teen and then one day I just didn't care about that any more. Same with sports, I was into swimming and then one day just got sick of that. But, yeah, as you get older your idea of fun starts to change and your interests will change also. So being interested in girls is always a good thing, something that two years ago you might not have been interested in. Music is also a sign that you are getting older and your interests are changing. I wouldn't really worry about this just go with the flow. You might be interested in music enough that you might actually pick up a guitar or a bass and learn how to play. You will probably in the next year or so start dating or hanging out with girls. This is all normal. When it is not normal is when you lose interest in things because your depressed. But, that usually entails losing interest in everything or most things. If that is the case then perhaps you need to talk to your folks or a doctor or a councilor at school or something. Don't mess around with that if you think you might be suffering from depression. That can lead to bigger and badder things if depression gets out of control like suicide or drug abuse. But, that doesn't seem to be the case with you. It just sounds like your interests are changing as you mature. So, I wouldn't worry about it. Just go with the flow and try to find new interests. I hope this helps. Good luck and take care.

Hey you're 14 give yourself a break! How many people know what they are interested in at 34 let alone 14. What you are doing is exploring, making choices and moving on....thats really healthy so dont worry... you are obviously creative, need stimulation and have'nt found something completely satisfying yet. Dont be surpirsed if this is a recurrent pattern in your life though you may have to discipline yourself to committ to some things i.e. relationships!

1 you are growing up. 2 you are probably becoming more busy with home work as you are starting to develop in your studies. 3 you may have slight depression. 4 unless you have someone else that is doing the same thing as you its hard to stay interested in something all by yourself. 5 you may not like what you are doing! good luck

You are fine. You are growing up. Now if you were still watching cartoons and playing with fisher price toys, then you would need to worry.

Have fun defining yourself, and it's OK to look at girls. Heck, you can even talk to them once in a while. Who knows, you might get lucky and one'll even kiss you.

I would say so. In fact it is healthy to try different hobbies, it is exactly what you should be doing at your age. Keep trying new activities, how else will you find what you like? Don't worry, you are perfectly normal teen.

Nothing to worry and no need to read too much into it - it is all part of the evolutionary process of which forms ageing and changes that come with it!

Puberty! It is normal, just be sure that you do not start feeling like you are losing interset in everything. That would be depression and you need help and meds!
