There is no inherent meaning or purpose in existance or life, other than that meaning or purpose YOU or I give it. In reference to what the future will bring, please google Ray Kurzweil or Transhumanism and read all about it.

There are no ultimates. Our purpose is what we chose it to be. The continuance of our life and existence is determined solely by the impact we made on society as a whole.
If you do nothing with your life but be subservient to a master or god, your existence will most likely end when your blood stops flowing.
If you make a mark on history by your deeds or words, you may very well achieve immortality.
The choice is yours.

umm, well, sure one can say that, life being never ending. but, it doesn't mean life is going to be the same or even what we could ever perceive it to be. dinosaurs have died, man evolved from apes, man dies what will take our place, what will evolve and what into? no one can say humans will live forever, that even this planet will allow it. more and more resources are taken that can't be given back, we are little by little destroying this planet, you're right something is got to give. if we don't put past the nonsense and start coming up with a plan to survive, like the dinosaurs, we will die.

We all must pass through the gates by the choice we make once we learn of the spirit that truly exhists.
There is no end spritually...it's as wonderful as the you could imagine it to be with heart, but keep in mind...very few people and I mean very few people have actually seen the spirit upfront in a Fog.
The message is clear and accept death as a new beggining to join in that spirit and flow with it instead of praying to see it or praying to it.

I think people who think our existence, as humans, is somehow more profound or important than other animals are the sort of arrogant people who find religion makes perfect sense, because it places humans at the top of some hierarchy.

Everything has an end. We just don't know what ours will be. It doesn't mean we should give up and do nothing. Life itself is enough reason to live. I don't need anything to give me meaning, I choose my own meaning.

The existing only is changing. Our world is changing. Our mind is changing. Nothing will be stable even the word stable.
