I don't know if I'm supposed to be BRINGING a game as a gift...

Playing games at the shower....

or bringing my old Monopoly to be played at the shower.

I'm seriously at a loss. This is a Bridal Shower invite for September.

This shower is about giving gifts to the couple that correspond with a certain time of day. The time of day that your gift needs to relate to is "game time." You are not bringing a game to play at the shower. You are bringing a gift that has the theme "game time."

You could give a board game or video game. But also think football. Maybe a really cool serving set for football-game munchies? Or pilsner beer glasses? Or, an outdoor game would be proper. A batmitton (sp?) set, or a bean-bag set would be fun gifts too.

P.S. I am 100% positive that this is what the invitation means. No hesitation here. "Around the Clock" showers are common where I live.

You're supposed to be bringing a gift associated with "Game Time" ... it is the time of day that you were chosen to represent. You can take game time any way you want - but since it is a bridal shower I would go with more bedroom games. Get some fun playing cards or naughty dice ... make a gift basket out of a lot of little things or find one nice gift.

You are to be bringing a game as a GIFT. Usually for an around the clock shower, the guest is given a time - for example, 1 p.m. or 8 a.m. - then you bring a gift suitable for that time of day.
What they have done here is actually easier, you don't have to guess - they have specified "game time", so you find a cool game to buy and take as a gift.

Okay, I think I see what's intended here. This is an 'around the clock' shower. Each guest is given a theme related to time for their gift. You have been assigned 'game time'...which is an odd designation, but still, that means you are supposed to bring a gift related to games. It could be a board game; cards, poker chips, and a book on card games; personalized pool cues; a chip and dip set for snacks while playing; sports equipment...anything that goes with the theme.

So think about what sort of games the happy couple enjoy or what they might need to help them enjoy those games.

I think they ran out of times (Usually it would be something like 7am so that person may buy them a set of egg dishes or something)

For "Game Time" I'm assuming you would buy them a game of sorts (you can always ask when you RSVP what they actually meant by "Game Time")

If they're into cards and poker, maybe a cute set of plates with the suits on them, along with some poker chips and cards or Cranium is a SUPER fun game and great for a new couple that wants to invite friends over to their new house

I'd still probably ask the host though!

Your gift should be along the lines of game time. Around the clock is usually time frames such as 1-2 pm, but they probably ran out of those and supplemented with themes. So your gift would be a game the couple could play. This of course could be a naughty game.

Usually an Around the Clock shower invitation will give you the time of day to which you should correspond your gift. Instead they gave you an activity to which you should correspond your gift. Your gift should be a game or have to do with game-playing.
Sounds like fun!

With an invite like this, you buy a gift for the couple that cooresponds to that time of day. Game time could mean you bring them a game as a gift-there are many great couples games! or you could buy them tickets for a game after their wedding. Use your imagination! Sometimes people get one gift for their "time of day" and another more personal gift if they choose.

Have fun with it!

I'm not sure... One part of me thinks it means that the gifts are supposed to be related to giving the bride and groom something to do. Like a gift certificate to a restaurant, tickets to a play/concert/movie. But than the other part sounds like you are supposed to bring a game. It confuses me. The best thing to do is to ask the person who is throwing the party what you should do.
Keep us posted!

Your time of the day is game time. Buy a fun game they will enjoy playing when they have friends over to their home. Make it naughty or make it nice. Monopoly, cards, anything. Use your imagination.
